Remus was sitting in a chair in the bedroom, his head resting on his cupped hands. It was early in the morning and the birds could be heard singing in the garden through the window.

Remus was looking at his daughter, who was still asleep in her bed. Katelyn always caught Remus' gaze at times like this and all he was content to do was look at her. Katelyn was the reason Remus was still going, most of the time. Everything he did was for his daughter.

Remus glanced out of the window for a few moments and smiled. The sunlight was shining into the window and had broken into beams coming through the trees outside. It was like it knew that it should shine. Because Katelyn was Remus' sunlight.

He turned back to his daughter again and sat still, leaning on his hands, just looking at her.
