Chapter 18

The next week and a half had been complete hell for Hermione and the other Gryffindor students.

She had been spending a lot of time with Luna.

Draco was getting more and more nervous as the days went on. He knew that Harry was going to be at Hogwarts any day now and that the battle would begin almost as soon as he arrives.

Snape was strict. He held to his rules and even inspected every house every night, checking to see if anyone was hiding Harry.

the next day, after lunch, everyone went back to their houses.

Everyone was doing their own thing, when Neville came out of the secret passage Aberforth had helped Gryffindor with.

"Hey, listen up you lot! I brought a surprise." Neville said.

"No more of Aberforth's cooking I hope. I'd be surprised if we could digest it!" Seamus said.

Neville stepped into the dungeon revealing Harry and Ron.

As Harry emerged into the room beyond the passage, there were several screams and yells: "HARRY!" "It's Potter, it's POTTER!" "Ron!"

The next moment Harry and Ron were engulfed, hugged, pounded on the back their hair ruffled, their hands shaken, by what seemed to be more than twenty people.

"Okay, okay, calm down!" Neville called, and as the crowd backed away, Harry and Ron were able to take in their surroundings.

"Where are we?" Ron asked.

"The dungeons. Snape put the Slytherins up in the Gryffindor tower and us down here." A voice came from behind the crowd of students, and then Hermione emerged from the crowd of students with a little smile.

She went over to Harry and Ron and hugged them both.

"I need to talk to the students in Ravenclaw." Harry told Neville when Hermione pulled away from hugging him and Ron.

"Seamus, go fetch Parma, Michael, Terry, Luna, and Cho." Neville said.

Moments later Seamus returned with the five Ravenclaws.

"Right, then. What's the plan, Harry?" Neville asked after everyone had settled down.

"Okay. There's something we need to find. Something hidden here, in the castle. And it may help us to defeat you know who." Harry said.

"Right, what is it?" Neville asked

"We don't know."

"Where is it?"

"We don't know that, either. I realize it's not much to go on."

"That's nothing to go on." Seamus said.

"I think it has something to do with Ravenclaw. Um.....it'll be small, easily concealed. Anyone any ideas?" Harry asked looking around.

Luna stepped forward, "Well, there's Rowena Ravenclaw's lost diadem."

"Oh, bloody hell! Here we go again!" Ron said.

"Lost diadem of Ravenclaw? Hasn't anyone heard of it? It's quite famous." Luna said.

"Yes. But Luna, it's lost. For centuries now. There isn't a person alive who's seen it." Cho Chang said.

"Excuse me, can someone tell me what a bloody diadem is?" Ron said frustrated.

"It's a sort of crown. You know, like a tiara." Cho said to Ron
