Chapter 23

Ron, Hermione and Draco stopped when they reached the chamber of secrets entrance, below the school.

Ron spoke, then the chamber door opened.

Hermione and Draco looked at him like he'd gone mad.

"Harry talks in his sleep, have you noticed?" Ron said backing up and turning to Hermione.

"No, of course not." Hermione said looking forward.

Draco and Hermione both step into the chamber.

"Aren't you coming Ron?" Hermione asked.

"No I'd rather not go into the place where my best friend and sister were almost killed." Ron said.

They both walked over to the Basilisk's skeleton.

Draco crouched down and pulled a tooth from its jaw.

Hermione pulled the Horcrux out of her pocket.

Draco walked over to her.

"You do it," He said.

"I can't."

"Yes you can." Draco said grabbing Hermione's hand and placing the tooth in it.

Draco knelt down and laid the Horcrux on the damp floor.

Hermione knelt down in front of of Draco and the Horcrux.

Hermione raised her arm with the fang in it and quickly stabbed cup with a lot of force.

Water rose up around her and Draco.

They both stood up up up quickly.

They stopped, knowing it was a wait to try and not get wet.

The water engulfed them and quickly drained back into the pools they were in originally.

Hermione and Draco turned to face one another.

Hermione threw her arms around Draco's neck and he wrapped his arms around her waist, and in one second they were kissing.

After a few seconds they pulled apart.

Hermione smiled and they both laughed.

Harry fell to the floor; his scar hurt. He knew they must've just destroyed the Horcrux.

He quickly got back and continued to rush down the stairs.

Neville was over looking the castle. He was on the stone bridge near the boarder of the forcefield.

He heard a sound, almost like men yelling.

He turned towards the sound and looked closely, and soon he saw about a thousand death eaters running towards the bridge, but before they could reach it three or four of them were killed by the forcefield, making the rest stop in their tracks.

"Yeah......you and who's army?!?!" Neville called out to them.

One of them looked up and saw a fiery piece of the forcefield floating down to the ground.

He caught it with his wand examining it. Then lowered his wand and slowly putting one foot forward.

Nothing happened.

Neville watched intently.

The man yelled running towards the bridge and everyone else following him.

Neville ran as fast as he could.

They waved their wands trying to hit Neville.

Then the bridge started to collapse as they ran.

Ginny and the rest of the Gryffindors watched as all the death eaters quickly disappeared into the darkness below them.

"NEVILLE!" Ginny screamed as the platform under his feet fell, and him falling with it.

Ginny took a few steps forward, trying to look over the edge.

Just then two hands appeared and a wand was tossed onto the remaining platform. Then Neville appeared trying to pull himself up.

"That went well." He said grunting.
