Chapter 21

As Ron, Hermione and Draco left, Luna passed them and ran quickly up the stairs after Harry.

"Harry!" She shouted over the loud crowds of students. "Harry!"

"So let me get this straight, Professor. You're actually giving us permission to do this?" Neville asked.

"Yes, that is correct Longbottom." McGonagall said.

"To blow it up? Boom?!?"

"Boom!!!" McGonagall said.

"Wicked! How is it that we're going to do that?" He asked.

"Why don't you confirm that with Mr. Finnegan." She said, stopping as they reached the the bottom of the steps outside of the castle, "if I recall, he has a particular proclivity for pyrotechnics."

"I can bring it down!" Seamus said from behind her.

"Now that's the spirit. Now go!" She said and they both walked away.

"You do realize, of course, you can't keep you know who indefinitely." Flitwick said.

"That doesn't mean we can't delay him....and his name if Voldemort, so we might as well use it, he's going to try in kill you either way." McGonagall said.

She turned around, towards the front of the castle and raised both her arms with hr wand in one hand.

"Piertotum Locomotor" McGonagall yelled.

Soldier like statues fell from the ceiling and came to life.

She turned around as the stone soldiers started marching past her and Molly Weasley, to the stone bridge.

"Hogwarts is threatened! Man the boundaries! Protect us! Do your duty to our school!" McGonagall yelled at the knights.

"I've always wanted to use that spell." She said to Molly.

Molly turned her head and looked at her like she had gone mad.

"Harry, wait, I need to talk to you." Luna called after him.

"I'm a bit preoccupied at the moment, Luna." Harry said.

"You won't find anything where you're going, you're waisting your time." Luna said.

"Look, we'll talk later, okay Luna?!?" Harry said continuing to walk up the stairs.

Luna stopped walking, "Harry...."

"Later!" Harry said.

"HARRY POTTER! YOU LISTEN TO ME RIGHT NOW!" Luna yelled at him, making him stop walking, "Don't you remember what Cho said about Rowena Ravenclaw's diadem? 'There's not a person alive who has seen it.' It's obvious isn't it? We have to talk to someone who's dead." Luna said.

Harry understood what Luna meant almost immediately.

He walked down the stairs towards Luna.

They both looked out of the castle window and saw the force field being put up around the school.

"It's very impressive, isn't it?" Luna said.
