Clinging to InSaNiTy in hopes the world will ease up
Miku Hatsune was on her way home from school, listening to her Rin Kagamine, who kept ranting about her love Senpai, Kaito Shion.
This girl was so lovestruck, it was uncanny.
They walked onto the old sidewalks, aged and decayed, passing by cute flowers or No Trespassing signs.
"You know," Rin began, "You should really date someone often." She tucked a blonde strand of hair behind her white headband, and smiled, making her sapphire eyes more appealing.
"Rin-chan, I do not engage in such nonsense. Gomen ne for being rude but still," Miku stated firmly.
"Romeo and Cinderella, Pomp and Circumstance, Gomen Ne, need I continue? All your songs are love songs, basically," Rin said.
"Lies," Miku said, although her cheeks were tinting to a light shade.
"Don't. Say. A. Word," she threatened.
Rin threw her hands up to show no threats.
Miku rolled her eyes.
The sky darkened, and began to pour, so Miku brought out her turquoise umbrella, and Rin said, "I'll see you at the fair!"
And then she left.
Miku started to her home, humming Solitary Hide and Seek Envy.
"Easily playing, never bat an eye, weeping and posing, another perfect alibi," she muttered happily, the rain matching her tune.
But in that rain, she saw something.
The rain had flooded the road, and no one but Miku was around, yet she saw someone with blonde hair, and auburn eyes.
He was lying on the ground, not breathing.
Miku's eyes widened, and she ran to his aid.
He seemed to be holding a cage, which had an American Goldfinch, also wet and close to death.
"Oh no," Miku said, dialing her brother Mikuo's number, and listened frantically for it to ring.
Once...
Twice...
"Hello?"
"Mikuo! I need help! I was walking home and-"
"Whoa, calm down, Miku. Say it slowly."
Miku took a deep breath.
"IWASWALKINGHOMEFROMSCHOOLANDNOWISEETHISBOYANDABIRDONTHEGROUNDINEEDYOURHELPPLEASEMIKUOIJUSTNEEDHELPBECAUSETHISCANBEFATALJUSTHURRYHURRYMIKUO!!!!!!!"
"MIKU GODDAMMIT SHUT UP I'LL BE HERE IF YOU SHUT UP!!"
And he hung up.
Miku lay on the ground, stroking the boy's blonde hair.
She wondered if he was going to make it...hopefully, right?
