The lights beamed in all directions, the fairy ball was about to begin. Eriexia looked around her; she was the only scion there. Eriexia, with her beautiful wings, purple eyes and cat like features, was hard to look at and not admire. Matthuis, the prince of Element, made his way towards her. The blue moon unveiled and set a gentle glow on Eriexia. Her ears shot up. Something, or rather, someone had touched her wings. She turned. Standing right in front of her, was the prince...
Cat suddenly woke up, trying to catch her breath. This was the third time she'd had that dream. She slowly stood and walked to the bath room. Looking in the mirror, she saw no cat like features, wings or purple eyes; just the same old ordinary long wavy brown hair that flowed around an ordinary oval head, on which was positioned an ordinary nose and an ordinary mouth. The only thing that wasn't ordinary about Cat where her eyes which glowed like emerald gemstones.
Misty appeared beside her, "You look like you've been having fairy-tale dreams." Cat looked at her sister's reflection beside hers. There was definitely nothing normal about Misty. She had perfectly straight hair; misty blue eyes; a perfect nose; naturally tanned skin and pretty much everything a girl could ask for. She also always seemed to have a trail of boys following her where ever she went. Misty got pretty much everything right and almost got straight A's. The only thing she was not good at was athrimetics. Misty could not solve an athrimetic question correctly to save her live. She had to get extra help and support from her teacher, Mrs. Budd, on top of the clubs that ran afterschool. She was so hopeless at it, that she'd failed her test three times and had had to go to summer school to retake it three times more. In fact this was the one thing that Cat liked most about her sister. Cat tucked her hair behind her ear, smiled and turned to face her sister, "You have no idea."
After showering and getting dressed, Cat sat on her bed and thought about what the dream could possibly mean. She'd woke hours before she was meant to and had nothing to do until then. Cat's style was what you would call ''unique''. It was slightly tomboy with chicness and a touch of glamour. She was wearing faded denim skinnies with navy high tops and a striped navy floral tee. Over it she had a grey varsity jacket. She'd accessorized with gold drop earrings and the necklace He had given her and had her hair tied back in a high ponytail with a denim hair tie. Cat lied on her back and stared at the ceiling. It was midnight blue with glow-in-the-dark stars painted on it and a moon shaped shade around the light. Cat smiled as she remembered placing them there. She had, in fact, painted, decorated and furnished her room herself. Her mind drifted away...
The lights were beaming in all directions, the ball of the fairies was about to begin. Standing in the middle of the crowd, was Eriexia, the only scion there. Eriexia was hard to look at and not admire. This was partially due to her magnificent wings, purple eyes and cat like features but also because of something else. The prince of Elementa, Matthuis, made his way towards her. A gentle glow was set on Eriexia by the unveiling blue moon. Her ears shot up. Someone had touched her wings. She turned around. There, right in front of her was the prince...
Cat's eyes shot open. That dream. It was always different but always the same. Misty popped her head into Cat's room, "Can I come in?" Cat turned to face her and stared at her before replying, " Yeah, sure." Misty entered then closed the door behind her. She was wearing a pleated pink skirt with a white loose fitting camisole top and pink high heeled sandals. She had accessorized with a gold bow necklace and was carrying the gold Micheal Kors tote bag that her ex had given her right before she dumped him. Her make up was simple and went with her outfit and had minimal accessories on.
She walked across the room to where Cat's bed was and plonked herself next to Cat, "So..." she began. Cat looked at her questioningly, "So, what?"
Misty raised her eyebrow, "Don't "So, what me?" me. What is wrong with you? I mean, you've acting so strangely lately: You've been waking up early; you hardly pay attention to anything; you float away to parallel universes and you've been so... so quiet." She paused moved to stroke Cat's hair but stopped herself, "I don't think I've ever seen you like this." She took a deep breath, "Cat? What's wrong?"
Cat sighed and sat up, "I guess I haven't been sleeping that well lately."
Misty looked at her, "Is that all?" Cat nodded.
Misty narrowed her eyes at Cat's necklace, "Is," she paused, hesitant to ask the question, "Is that the necklace He got you?" she continued cautious of the result.
As soon as Misty finished asking the question, Cat sat up and began to pack her bag, "I should go."
"He loves you know,"
Cat stopped and turned to face Misty.
"He probably loves you more than the rest of us."
At those words, Cat stood and began to leave.
"I know I'm only your half-sister and you have no cause to believe me but I mean it." Misty stopped to take a deep breath, "He wants to have a proper relationship with you, you just can't keep pushing him away."
Cat stopped at the door and whispered a goodbye to Misty before walking out.
Misty sighed in defeat, "See you later."
The lights beamed in all directions, the ball was about to begin. In the middle of the crowd, stood a scion; the only one there. She had beautiful wings, purple eyes and cat like features. She was majestic in all she did and something about her made it hard to look at her and not admire. The prince of Elementa made his way towards her. A gentle glow set on her as the blue moon unveiled. Her ears shot up. Someone had stroked her wings. She turned. There, in all his glory was the prince...
