Matthuis slowly approached Eriexia, who was looking at the scenery from the balcony. The wind was gently blowing and there was an energy in the air as the crowning of the princess arrived (that is if she was found in time for the event). Eriexia looked up to see the face that belonged to the pair of hands that had appeared beside her's. She caught Matthuis’s eye. His familiarity was still there but he seemed so... different.

Free Period- Thursday September 2075

I must be the stupidest guy in the world. I mean, what was I thinking; Justin’s ny best friend and hitting on his crush isn’t something I should be doing.

But she’s just so irresistible. I don’t know what but something about her makes her stand out from the crowd It might just be my imagination, but sometimes her eyes go purple, just like the girl from my dreams. I don’t know what’s come over me.

Cat. Of all people in the world. I had to hit on her. Cat My best friend’s crush.

I watched her in English today, she was so fidgety. It was almost kinda cute but

This morning, as we where walking to school, I forgot about everything. It felt as though only me and her existed, as though nothing else mattered, as long as we where together.

Oh My God.

I think I’ve fallen for her.

The prince slowly approached the scion, who was looking at the scenery from the balcony. The wind was gently blowing and there was an energy in the air as the crowning of the princess arrived (that is if she was found in time for the event). The scion looked up to see the face that belonged to the pair of hands that had appeared beside her’s. She caught the prince’s eye. His familiarity was still there but he seemed so... different.

The bell rang announcing the start of lunch, Cat let out a sigh of relief, she hadn’t daydreamed in any of her classes so far and was feeling tense about Justin. Cat sat next to him on the west side of the field, there was an awkward silence as they ate their lunches.

Cat’s voice sliced through the silence. “Look. Justin, about the whole date thing. I... well I don’t really want to go out with you. It’s not that I hate you or anything I don’t, really I don’t. It’s just, I don’t like you the way that you like me.”

There was a long moment of silence.

“Justin?” She paused, “Say something.”

Justin ran a hand through his tawny brown hair then smiled, “Thanks Cat.” He paused. “Thanks for tellin' the truth.”

“You’re not mad at me, are you?”

"No. If anything, I like you even more.”

Cat let out a sigh of relief. “Great, cuz I don’t know how I’d survive without a friend as good as you.”

Justin laughed, “Can we still go? As friends.”

Cat thought for a while then smirked, “Only if you can get Luke to stop annoying me.”

Justin was completely taken aback. “So is that what he was doing this morning, annoyin' you?”

Cat rolled her eyes. “You haven’t got a clue.”

He stared at her, “He’ll probably stop annoyin' you in his own time. But in the mean time, you can make the most of it.”

Cat raised an eyebrow.

“I meant that you could get to know him. Who knows, you might find out something interesting about him.”

Cat leaned backward. “The only thing I found out about him was that he whistles.” They looked at each other and laughed.

After a while, Justin stopped laughing, “Y’know, you and Luke would make a pretty good couple.”

Cat looked at him in disbelief, “In your dreams, Jus.”

“Well, you would. I mean look at you, you’re artistic; courageous; good at what you do and you won’t take no for an answer, just the right mixture for him. Plus you’re beautiful.”

Cat looked down and smiled. “You know that’s actually the first time someone- excluding family- has called me beautiful.”

“Well you are.” Justin held her face in his hand, leaned forward and placed a soft light delicate kiss on her lips.

When he pulled back , Cat said, “Wow, uh, I don’t know what to say.” Justin opened his mouth to say something but before he could say anything, the bell rang.

He approached her as she looked at the scenery from the balcony. The wind was gently blowing and there was an energy in the air as the crowning of the princess arrived (that is if she was found in time for the event). She looked up to see the face that belonged to the pair of hands that had appeared beside her’s. She caught his eye. His familiarity was still there but he seemed so... different.
