As we wandered through the town, slaying the various beasts that were overtaking the town, we didn't see much more of the other hunters we met. What we did see was creepy statues, wandering nightmares, and Ya'hargul executioners and kidnappers. We moved aimlessly for the next hour, and as the sun sunk even farther behind the horizon, the beasts grew even more violent. "This night is so much longer than ones before." I said to Jesse. He looked up as the moon breached the horizon and said, "It must be the Mensis ritual. It seems your ancestor didn't take care of all the School of Mensis members." I shot him a dark look. "Don't talk about him. He became one of the reasons why the Mensis want to bring the moon closer." I said. "Sorry..didn't mean to offend you." He said. For another hour we walked in silence. As we entered a cemetery, we came upon one of the hunters we met earlier. It was the one named Christopher. He was hunched over a grave. When he heard us he jumped up, and seemed to take a defensive stance, blocking the grave from view. "W-what are you two doing here!?" He asked. Jesse stepped forward and said, "We usually walk through this cemetery on our hunting path. What are you doing here?" Christopher stood straighter up, freeing up a moment for me to see the grave he was guarding. I caught a glimpse of the name. It read something Lucker. His leg was blocking the first name. I assumed it was probably one of his family members. Until he stepped away. Once he did I was able to read the grave fully. "Holy shit..." I said to myself. "That's his grave.." I guess Christopher must have heard me because he fired off a round from his gun in my direction. Again, with his insane speed, Jesse blocked it. "How dare you!?" He yelled, and began approaching Christopher with his sword drawn. He transformed it, which turned it into two blades of equal size. As soon as that happened, I knew shit was about to go down. Christopher seemed ready to fight as well, but then he told Jesse to put his weapons down. "I apologize for shooting at your friend. It's just that I didn't want anyone finding out that I was a coldblood..." he said as he looked at the ground. Jesse was thrown off guard for a moment. "A coldblood..?" He asked. Christopher nodded. "I died about ten years ago. The Great Ones took pity on me and I was reborn as a coldblood." I looked at Jesse and then at Christopher. "I knew there was a reason I didn't trust you." I said. Jesse shot me a look that said 'don't.' I immediately looked down in shame. "Well, that's interesting to know there." said Jesse. He stepped forward and opened his arms for a hug. I watched as Christopher copied the gesture and they hugged. It was almost a tender moment. And then the girl named Auricle dropped in and ruined the party. God I hate her. I don't even know her that well and I already want to fight her.
