As soon as I heard her footsteps, I knew she was going to be a killjoy. She jumped from the building behind us, and landed without a single sound. She walked up behind us and said, "What is this nonsense." She looked at me with a glare but as soon as she looked at Jesse who had quickly backed away from Christopher her look softened and I could have swore her cheeks flushed pink. I must have been imagining things. She barely met him how could she have a crush on him? I learned later I wasn't imaging anything. "I was just talking to them. They wandered in and caught me off guard. They found out about my blood type too..." Christopher said. He looked down as if what had happened was punishable. Instead of receiving punishment as he expected, Auricle walked over to him and lifted his head up. "I suppose they have the right to know. It's not like it can aid them against us right?" She said. Christopher looked up and nodded. Auricle turned and faced me and Jesse. "So. You've discovered that my partner is coldblood. I suppose you're curious about me as well." She said. She glanced over at Jesse and then at me. "Well yeah actually we are," said Jesse. She looked at him and said, "Very well. Christopher give me your dagger." He reached to his belt and pulled a shiny silver dagger from it and handed it to her. I saw Jesse flinch a bit at the sight of it but I didn't think anything of it. She held the blade to her arm, and slashed her skin open. Out poured a grey white liquid. "I am a pale blood. Kin to the Great Ones. Now you know us, what are you two?"
She said as she wrapped the area she cut with a bandana. "I am a pure blood, and my blood can be used for healing others." I said. Auricle and Christopher both lit up a bit. "I've heard stories of the pure bloods but have never seen one in action. Show us please." I sliced my wrist and collected the blood in an empty vial I had in my bag. I walked over to Jesse and looked at him. "Ready to put on an example?" I asked. He nodded slowly. I pulled my axe from my belt and slashed his stomach. As I did so, he let out an inhuman growl of pain and his eyes glowed purple. I was so scared that I forgot he was bleeding. "The blood, Alex!" He screamed at me. I snapped back to reality and smashed the vial against the cut, and his wound began to close. Auricle and Christopher watched in awe, and apparently didn't see what had just happened. They clapped and looked at Jesse. "What blood type are you, Jesse?" Christopher asked. He chuckled and said, "I'm type O negative friend. Meaning my blood isn't special at all." As he spoke, he was a bit jittery. Just like he gets when he lies. I wanted to confront him about this, but didn't have a chance as more beasts clawed their way into the cemetery. We all stood by each other, back to back, weapons drawn. Another team effort, I thought to myself. Awesome.
