"So...this is your true form. Interesting," Auricle said, staring down the beast that Jesse had become. I sat in silence, watching, squeezing into the corner of the cave as tightly as I could, trying to avoid the confrontation. Jesse laughed, and I winced in fear as it resonated across the walls of the cave. I noticed small creatures, who were originally roaming the cave freely, scurry into hiding at the sound of his laughter. "I suppose it is yes..." he said, "and this is the form I will use to slay you, ancient goddess of the sky." He laughed again, and I noticed out of the corner of my eye, Christopher, climbing down the ladder into the cave once more. He walked beside Auricle, who made him look miniscule in comparison, and he spoke. "I feared this would occur. I'm afraid Auricle and I..." He paused. His skin started to rupture. Spikes of coagulated and hardened blood burst from his back like scorpion tails. What looked like blades, also made of his blood, burst from his wrists. And then he spoke again. "Will have to kill you." Jesse laughed a third time now, even louder and more distorted than before. "You pathetic weaklings think you can kill me? Doubtful. You'll have to try your hardest to destroy me." Christopher dashed toward him and jumped, ready to attack, only to be brushed aside easily by Jesse's skeletal hand, sending him crashing into the ground again. Auricle screamed in rage and flew towards Jesse, striking him with her claws. With lightning speed, Jesse dashed underneath her, jumping upward, ramming his head into her gut. She fell, but got up quickly, ready to attack again. By this time, Christopher had gotten up. With Jesse's back to him, he again charged, this time, plunging the blood spikes directly into Jesse's back. As they pierced him, Jesse let out a pained howl and whipped around, slamming Christopher into the ground with an intense fist. He picked up him up, and launched him at Auricle. He collided with her, and the intense force was enough to knock both her and Christopher into the cave wall behind her. I looked at Jesse, concerned. I wanted so badly to jump in front of him and scream at him, look him in the eyes and ask him why. But I didn't have the courage. So I remained huddled in the corner of the cave, clutching my battle axe and revolver. Jesse seemed to stretch, and soon began lowering himself into a more primal pose, much like an actual wolf. His eyes flashed now a deep violet color, and the lightning began to stream more viciously. He slowly began to approach Auricle as she removed herself from the cave wall. I noticed that Christopher was unconcious on the ground. His blood spikes had retreated back into his body and his skin reformed itself, making him appear human again. I then returned my attention to the two monstrosities in front of me. Auricle spread her wings and slowly rose. Jesse kept prowling toward her. He had a murderous look in his eyes. I decided I couldn't handle it anymore. I jumped up and ran toward him, shooting him in the head with my revolver. The bullet merely glanced off his skull, and he looked at me. I knew exactly what was going to happen next. He swiped me away, and I skidded across the ground, hitting a wall. I sat there in pain, and decided that I would remain here, to avoid further pain and possible death. As Auricle and Jesse stared each other down, she opened her mouth and let out an earsplitting shriek. It was so loud I felt the blood drip from my right ear and knew my ear drum exploded. It seemed to send Jesse into a confused and dizzy state, because he seemed to be unable to remain standing. Auricle siezed this moment and attacked, striking him with a flurry of claw swiped and wing slaps. Jesse recovered quickly though, and immediately slammed his hand into her face, sending a large spark of lightning from his body, into hers, which caused her body to quake, and made her back off. I could tell she wasn't finished, though. As soon as she backed of, she wrapped her wings around herself, and an intense blueish-green light appeared from her. Jesse was blinded by it, although it seemed to have no effect on me. As she opened her wings, a giant greatsword with the blade a similar color to the flash of light, was clasped in her hands. I knew this as the Moonlight Greatsword, wielded by the legendary Thalos Cormac, and Ludwig, The Holy Blade, before him. She swung it, a ripple of intense light striking Jesse, blasting him into the wall of the cave, and causing him to revert to his human form. I was shocked at how quickly it was over. And then she began to approach him, the sword raised high above her head. I knew it couldn't be good.
