PART 7

Mia and I were sat at my desk in my bedroom. I was showing her the photos from the previous night that had been taken by Will and would be issued in the summer catalogue for Topshop.

"Oh my god, their beautiful Katie!" She exclaimed as I showed her the close ups.

It was around 8 o'clock. Mum and Dad had left about two hours ago for their little 'weekend away'. Tomorrow was Halloween and I still didn't have a costume. Mia had insisted she had something for me and, frankly, I was a little scared. Who knows what she would make me dress up as!

"Thanks, and it was actually a lot of fun to do." I replied smiling. I had known Mia less than a week, but it felt like I had known her all my life. I no longer felt lonely and I finally had someone else to gossip to and share my secrets. I still dearly missed Lissy and Mia could never replace her, but I could have two best friends and at least one was in this country!

I had spoken to Lissy last night after the photo shoot. I had spilled my heart out to her, telling her the event s of the photo shoot and letting out my frustration over Louis and how he still refuses to acknowledge me.

Sighing I closed my laptop down and lay down on the bed.

"Don't look so depressed. The party is tomorrow night!" Mia exclaimed excitably.

I just shrugged my shoulders. The party would just mean I would get ignored some more by Louis and I would become even more depressed.

"Right we need to take your mind of things and do something fun!" Mia said pulling me up from the bed.

"What if I don't want to." I replied.

"I don't care. I'm bored, so think of something fun for us to do."

Mia was right. I really was being a bad host, and she was only trying to help.

"We could go swimming?" I asked, not really sure if it was her 'thing'.

"Well that would be fun, but I'm not sure the swimming baths will be open at this time of night." She replied.

"No need to go to the swimming baths. We have a pool."

"Seriously!? Why did you never mention this to me?" Mia asked, dumb-founded.

I just shrugged, "It never came up." I never really used the swimming pool. I was always too busy with my photography.

"Well let's do it! But I haven't brought a bikini so you will have to lend me one! Oh My God, we should ask the boys if they want to join us." Before I could stop her, Mia ran out of the room towards my brother's room.

Louis was going to see me in my bikini. The thought sent butterflies of nervousness and excitement through my belly. Then a thought better than the last, ran through my mind.

I was going to see Louis in nothing but his trunks.

I could just picture his body now. Defined abs and pecs which looked as if they had been sculpted by the gods. Tanned skin and a trail of hair which led to....

"They said Yes!" Mia burst back into the room with a huge grin on her face.

"Why are you so happy about it?" I questioned smirking.

"Because it will just be so much fun! And you will get to spend time with Louis." She replied not meeting my gaze.

"Are you sure it doesn't have anything to do with James?" I questioned raising an eyebrow. It was so obvious they liked each other.

Why couldn't it be that simple for me?

A slight blush rose to Mia's cheeks. "No! Why would you think that!"
