"Hello?" I take a deep breathe before answering the phone. We didn't go over this part so i really don't know what I'm doing.
"Hi, is this Jayde Butcher?"
"Yeah it is." I say.
"I'm so sorry to tell you, I'm calling because you're the first contact on Zac's Nightingales phone."
"What's happened? Is he okay?" I ask, trying to sound panicked and worried.
"I'm sorry but he's dead. He died in his home early hours of this morning." I gulp and stay quite for a while, looking at Harry. He nods, telling me to speak up now.
"I- thank you for letting me know." I gulp. I'm not really sure what the right words are to say in this kind of situation. Even if I had nothing to do with it, I still wouldn't know how to react. Yes it makes our life easier now he's dead, but I don't know if this guilt is going to be easy to live with at all. I don't know how I'm going to do this. Was it worth it?
"No problem, I'm really sorry for your loss."
"thank you" I sigh, before hanging up. I put the phone down and harry pulls me in for a hug.
"It's for the best baby. The worst part is done now. Just think about our white picket fence and the gorgeous children we're going to have ." Harry says, kissing my forehead. I take a deep breath and breathe in his scent.
I think it's worth it.
