I dedicated this to Writer-NovelistGirl because I love her one shots so much and I can't get enough of her future fics.

Brian and Meredith Holden were sat on the living room couch. Their 13 year old son Elliott was sat next to his mum, messaging his best friend Ethan, who was on his way over for the evening. The TV was on but no one was really paying attention to what was happening on the screen. The parents were far more interested in awaiting the appearance of their 17 year old daughter at the bottom of the stairs.

Meredith had been assisting Danielle in getting ready earlier that afternoon, helping with her hair and make up where she needed it. But now she was sat waiting with her husband (and her son), waiting to see the final results of Dani's Prom Makeover.

The sound of the doorbell interrupted the thoughts of those in the Holden household. Both Meredith and Brian got up and answered the door to see the person they'd been expecting. A young boy dressed in a black suit with a deep purple tie was stood before them. A white corsage in his hands and a nervous smile on his face.

"Mr and Mrs Holden, I'm here to pick your lovely daughter up to take her to prom."

"Toby Walker, for the last time, just call us Uncle Brian and Aunt Meredith. We've known you since you were born. There's no need for the formalities." Brian said to the boy at the door, the corsage in his hand shaking ever so slightly.

"And where are your parents and siblings, I thought that..." But before Meredith could even finish her sentence, yet another teenage boy made an appearance at the doorway. Toby's younger brother Ethan ran past the group at the door and straight over to Elliott, who was still sat on the couch, though had set up his gaming console for the boys to play.

"I still can't believe how excited those two get when they have a sleepover, even after all these years" the voice of Joe Walker said as he, his wife Denise and their daughter arrived at the Holden household.

Joe was holding his 6 year old daughter May in his arms as Denise was carrying Ethan's overnight bag. The old friends exchanged pleasantries and all came into the house.

"I still can't believe that our little babies are all grown up now and are going to their senior prom tonight" Denise said as she pinched Toby's cheeks, resulting in an annoyed 'Mom!' from Toby.

"I know. I still remember when they were running around the rehearsal space being right pains in the..." a cough from the oldest male Walker stopped Brian before he said anything inappropriate, especially in the presence of a small child.

A loud gasp stopped the four adults from continuing their conversation as all heads turned to the staircase. Even the two boys on the sofa had stopped gaming to come over and witness the grand entrance. There stood Danielle looking stunning. Her hair was intricately braided and pinned up on her head, while her dress draped elegantly to the floor. It was deep purple in colour, the same shade as her date's tie.

Danielle looked on at the people most important to her in her life, her eyes finally landing on Toby as he stood opposite her. He was at a loss for words; she was gorgeous. But before he could form a full sentence Danielle broke the silence.

"Hi"

"Hi." He paused "You look beautiful Holden."

"Thanks. You don't look too bad yourself Walker" Danielle said with a smile.

"So, before things can get any more awkward between you two kids, let's take some photos of just the pair of you before the others arrive, shall we?" Brian said as everyone was then ushered into the garden.

A variety of photos were taken of Danielle and Toby together. Cute ones, silly ones, even a few taken with their younger siblings. It was soon after the separate family photos were taken that there was another ring of the doorbell. Brian quickly went to answer the door and walked back with a party of 4 into the garden. Two excited squeals later, everyone had realised it was the Richters who were the latest arrivals. And the two teenage girls (who were also the bestest friends) greeted each other in a massive hug. Joey and Lauren walked in after their daughter Amelia, with Oliver (Amelia's twin) after them.

More pleasantries were exchanged amongst the adults as the children chatted excitedly about their evening ahead.

"OMR Mils, your dress is super cute! I always knew that red suited you the best."

Milly had chosen a short red dress with lacy sleeves and an open back. Paired with black heels and a gold clutch bag.

"My dress, look at your dress you little bombshell! Dee, this is going to be the best night ever!"

Toby and Ollie just looked at the best friends while shaking their heads. "Girls am I right?"

"Now now boys, these two are just excited for what is going to be the greatest night of their teenage lives. Which you two should be too!" The twins' mother told them. Dani and Milly just smiled at Lauren in thanks.

"How about some photos of you four, eh?" Joey said, earning a few groans from the Starkid kids that weren't going to prom. The other's agreed and the cameras started flashing once more.

The doorbell rang a few more times after that and soon, the backyard was filled with childhood friends and old college friends alike.

Jeff and Rachael Blim had arrived with their daughter Sadie, all dressed in turquoise and white. Eric, Jade and their daughter Emily soon followed, who wore a strapless green number. The Saunders (Dylan and Jaime Lyn) and the Crisses (Darren and Julia) came next with their children Benjamin and Caitlin, and James respectively, with Ben and James suited up ready for the evening ahead.

The Holden's back garden was filled with excited chatter, laughter, some annoyed younger siblings, drinks and snacks, and some emotional Starkids. All of whom were witnessing their little babies start their journey to becoming fine young adults.

Many, many, many photos by the proud parents later, the time had come for the attendees to head off to their high school, to have the 'GREATEST NIGHT EVER!!' According to Mrs Richter. 7pm was fast approaching and none of them wanted to be late for their Senior Prom.

Final goodbyes were said between parents and children. And soon Danielle, Toby, Amelia, Oliver, Sadie, Emily, Benjamin and James were all getting into the mini party bus the group had rented for the evening.

As the bus pulled out and drove off (blasting some tunes along the way), the remaining extended family waved them as they disappeared into the distance, watching the Starkiddies take the next step towards their future.

"Well, I hope they're all ready to go"

The entire group erupted into laughter at Jaime's comment, which followed them in as they re-entered the house for the little party they were holding themselves. What the parents wouldn't know, would be how much fun their eldest children would have that night and what would happen at after prom!

The media is the prom looks for each of the girls, so I hope you like them as it was fun putting them together. I also hope that you enjoyed this!
(I feel this started off great, but got worse as it went on. Oh well) 💜
