I giggled as I slowly tip-toed behind her, nearly toppling over as I bumped into a dancing stranger. Steadying myself, I continued to walk slowly and as straight as possible. Facing her back, I brought my hands to her side quickly yelling "Boo!" in her ear.
Ellie jumped up, a high pitched shriek leaving her lips. The bitter liquid spilling off the edge of the glass she held, soaking her hand and the floor.
I nearly fell over in a fit of giggles as I watched the scene unfold before me.
"What the fu-" Ellie began as she turned around but stopped short when she saw me. She narrowed her eyes at me. "Alli?"
"You should have..seen your...face!" I said in between fits of laughter, holding my stomach gasping for air.
"Allison, what the fuck?! This isn't funny."
That only made me laugh more.
Ellie glared at me; her cheeks turning a light shade of pink. My eyes grew wide and I quickly swung my hand up to cover the growing grin on my face as more giggles escaped.
Ellie furrowed her eyes at me, a sudden smirk taking over her lips.
"Allison, are you drunk?"
"I know you are but what am I?" I laughed hysterically at my own joke.
Was that a joke?
Ellie was grinning now. "Wow, I would have never thought if it weren't for the fact that I'm actually here witnessing it for myself." She put her hands on her hips. "Allison Reed, out on a Friday night, drunk, on a roof." She snickered shaking her head.
Watching her do this made her seem as though she had three heads. Fascinated, I cocked my head to the side watching her carefully. She had four heads now. Suddenly I didn't feel so good.
"Allison!?"
A high pitched squeal escaped my lips and I quickly brought my hand up to cover my mouth, again. I whirled around to where the deep voice came from. My eyes went wide at the sight of the blonde across the dance floor. His face was red with anger and his jaw was clenched. His green eyes stared straight into mine. They were darker than before; hooded under his furrowed brows. His hand ran through his hair pulling roughly at the ends muttering something under his breath as he pushed through packs of people. When he finally reached Ellie and I, he towered over me. I could practically feel the heat radiating off of him.
Goodness, he was beautiful.
"What the hell was that?!" He started, waving his hands frantically in front of him as he spoke. "I literally take my eyes off you for one second and you-"
"Whoa there big boy." Ellie was now pulling me back from in front of Tom, practically shielding me with her body. "You need to relax."
Tom finally looked away from me and glared at Ellie, his jaw clenched.
"Forgive me for having any concern for your friend's safety."
"You know that's not what I meant. She's fine. Now relax."
I watched Tom's face from behind Ellie. He seemed agitated with her. What the fuck?
"Why do you even care?"
The words left my mouth before I could even think about them. Tom fixed his stare back on me. He clenched his jaw.
"Oi, guys!" Goff came tumbling behind Tom, wrapping a lazy arm around Tom's shoulder, his eyes slightly blood shot. "What's up?"
Tom took a deep breath as he shook Goff off (Goff not seeming at all effected by Tom's behavior.)
"I need a drink." Tom stated simply before turning back towards the bar without giving me or anyone else another look.
"Geez, what's up with him?" Goff words slurred as he took a swing from his bottle.
"He'll be fine." Ellie shrugged. "As for you," she wrapped her arm around my shoulder causing me to tip to the side slightly. "well, we're just getting started with you." She flashed me a wicked smirk.
"Dude, why are you looking at me like that?" I furrowed my brows at her.
Ellie chuckled at me with a slight shake of her head.
"C'mon babe, let's have some fun." And with that I was hauled onto the dance floor.~
The moment I attempted to open my eyes, I quickly shut them; the light creeping from between the blinds threatening to blind me. I groaned as I pulled the sheets over my head. My temples were throbbing and I felt as though I would vomit any second now.
Realizing sleep wouldn't be taking over again, I decided to get up. My head is spinning by the time I am finally on my feet. Losing my balance momentarily, I grab on to the bed frame to keep from falling. Looking down I see I am still wearing my jeans and button down from last night.
Last night.
Jesus, what happened last night?
I walk out of my bedroom and into the bathroom across the hall, and take in my horrid reflection. My eyes are still bloodshot from all the drinking I did last night, my hair is a bird's nest on my head, my cheeks are slightly flushed, my lips are swollen for some odd reason, and I've just noticed that I am missing the first three top buttons of my shirt. What the hell?
I rake my fingers through my tangled curls only to increase the pain my head is already feeling. I give up and tie my hair up into a large bun. I decide then to brush my teeth to rid of the nasty taste in my mouth. Splashing cold water on my face, I try to remember last night's events.
I remember drinking...a lot of drinking. Dancing with Ellie. And yelling? Someone yelling.
I shake my head slightly and wince at the pain in my head. I need to get rid of this headache.
I slowly rubbed circles on my temples as I make my way into my living room and what I see couldn't have caught me more by surprise because there he is, snoring lightly on my love seat holding a pillow. There right in front of me is the one and only, Tom Odell.
