Don't be afraid

when I was 15 something magical happened to me and my 4 best friends. we became mermaids.

*ROSALIES POV*
"Let's go home!" Hanna whined as we hiked up an interesting mountain.

"Hanna relax!" Cassie says jumping of a rock.

"its dark and scary!" she yelled again holding onto Melisa for support. I rolled my eyes and took a step forward falling into some sort of hole. I screamed, still being able to hear my friends calling me.

"I'm fine!" I yelled as I landed in my bum. a couple seconds later I heard screaming then my friends landing behind me.

"well that was fun!" Angy says as she gets up and walks out of this cave we're in. we follow her and my eyes widen when I see a pool with clear blue water.

"wow" was all that escaped our lips. I walked closer to the water. but then something weird starts to happen making me step back. the water gets bubbley and something sparkly floating up from the water. I got tempted and jumped in.

"Rosie!" the girls yell.

"its fine, get in." they shrugged and jumped in.

"what is this." Melisa says as she comes out of the water.

"I don't know but its beautiful." Hanna says. suddenly everything stops. we exchange confused looks.

"let's go." Hanna says. we got out of the pool. that is so strange. it felt so..... magical.

we got to our neighborhood and we went our own ways to our house except me and Cassie since we live next to me.

" that was quite strange in the cave." she says.

"very. I felt different when I got out."

"you felt that too." she says," like if something was put into you." I nodded and stopped since I was in front on my house.

"anyways bye see ya tomorrow Cassie." I hugged her and left.

I woke up to the smell of my mum making breakfast. I got up and headed to the restroom I turned on the water to take a bath.I let the tub fill with warm water then I turned it off.

I striped if my PJs and hopped in resting my head. about 15 seconds later I had a tail. WTF!!! I nearly screamed. I washed my hair and tried to get out of the tub, but obviously I couldn't. I let the water go and dragged myself out. I did my best to crawl towards my hair dryer. I pugged it in and put bit in high. the tail was starting to get dry but I must say it was beautiful, it was silver with with purple scales here and there. it had a matching top. but how did this happen? did something from the pool do this? soon my tail was transformed to legs again. I out on some shorts and a shirt and headed down stairs.

"hey mum." I say trying to act cool.

"good morning sweetie." she says putting a tray with food in front of me. I get my phone out from my back pocket and text the girls.

ME: meet me at nandos in 10

CASSIE: OK

MELISSA: need to tell you guys something.

HANNA: I'll be there

ANGY: okay

I finished my breakfast and walked to the restaurant. they were all there.

"okay something happened at the moon pool." I say.

"wait so are you a.....mermaid...too." Melissa says.

"it happen to you too." they nodd except for Cassie. we look at her.

"you're not." Angy asks. she shruggs
"I don't know I just woke up when you texted me.

"you probably are since you were with us " Rosie says.

"let's go find out." I say and walk away with the girls followed close behind me. I went towards the pool and jumped my legs soon turning onto a big long tail. the others jumped in to except for Cassie.

"c'mon Cassie!" I yell. she jumps in. we waited and then it happened. she had a tail. we smiled.

" well this is something we need to hide." Melissa says.

"what?! we aren't going to tell peaolpe about us." Rosie says. I swear she can be so stupid at times.
"because we could end up in aquarium." I say.

"wow your tail is so pretty." Angy compliments Rosie's tail. its turquoise with a little bit of purple scales.

Melissa's was a gold color with some black scales.

Hanna's was purple and pink.

and Cassie's was white with some black scales. I liked hers the most. they all had matching tops.
