About three weeks have passed. I'm finally getting out of here.

"Alright, Mr. Matsuno," the nurse started. "time to get these bandages off of you."

I looked over at Chibita, who gave me a supportive smile. I smiled back as the nurse gently unwrapped my midsection. Scars everywhere, but all in all, not too bad. In fact, it makes me look even more cool. If that's possible.

"Your rib seems to have made a speedy recovery! Now, as for your eye, well..."

"Well?" I repeated, the cloud of dread forming over my head again. She gently took the bandage off my eye, and I slowly opened it.

"Everything is so... Blurry..." I reached up to touch my left eye. I ran my fingers along the scar cutting across it. I closed my right eye to look through it. I could only see shapes and some color. Just a haze, however. I reopened my right eye and looked at Chibita.

"I-It doesn't that look that bad! You wear sunglasses all the time anyways..."

"We aren't sure if your vision will ever return. In fact... It's more likely to completely fade away in your left eye. In that case, you're going to need glasses to help with your depth perception. Other than that, you're free to go home."

Home? I don't know where that is anymore. I gently nibbled on my lip before thanking the nurse as she left the room. Chibita tapped on my leg. I looked over to him and he held up some fresh clothes from my house, and a new pair of sunglasses on top. I took them gently and smiled.

"Thank you, Chibita," I said. He grinned back and nodded. He left the room so I could change in peace. I gently put the clothes on and stared at the sunglasses.

Glasses, huh? Never thought I'd see the day.

I put the sunglasses on, but carefully and slowly. My confidence left me at the site of the scuffle all those nights ago. I slipped my shoes on and walked out to meet Chibita. We walked out of the hospital together. I took a deep breath, fresh air at last!

"Well, I have to go back to work. I'll see you later, ya idjit," Chibita said. We said our goodbyes and I slowly walked to the house.

Upon reaching the front door, I took another deep breath. I kept my gaze downcast as I opened the door. The conversation that was going on inside quieted down. I heard them stand as I walked in and closed the door.

"You're home!" Choromatsu said, a sense of relief in his voice. I said nothing as I walked towards the steps.

"H-Hey, where are you going, Karamatsu-niisan?" Todomatsu asked.

"Just being dramatic as always," Osomatsu said. I heard someone punch him.

"Whatever. Let him go," Ichimatsu mumbled.

"But! I wanna spend time with nii-san!" Jyushimatsu cried. I felt Choromatsu put his hand on my shoulder.

"Karamatsu-niisan, we-"

"Don't touch me," I hissed deeply. He hesitantly pulled his hand away from my shoulder.

The silence hung in the air like a guillotine.

"I'm going upstairs. Not that you would care anyways."

I trudged up the stairs, nearly tripping on my own feet a few times. This whole depth perception thing is worse than I first thought. Upon entering the room, I picked up my guitar after all this time of being apart. I very carefully treaded up to the roof and began to play some of my own wonderful creations. I heard footsteps come up the steps behind me.
