The slamming of the McCall's front door sliced away any hope left. Despair filled in Liam's stomach; ridiculing himself that he actually thought he was doing good in the world. He leapt to his feet after feeling revived and pegged it for the door.
Although Stiles was ordinary compared to the werewolves, he was quick to the door. "Where do you think you're going, mister?" he glared down.
"To go and stop this thing before they do," he spoke loudly. "I seem to be the reason it's here. I'm the reason it's leaving . It's my responsibility."
"Liam, there's no point," Scott said from behind. "They're way more skilled in this area than we are. After werewolves and banshees, or whatever, that's where we stop. All of us."
"Oh, to hell with that, Scott," Brett jumped in. "Everyone knows full well that we are just as good as 'the Winchesters'. Have you forgotten about the dark Nogitsune spirit you were clueless about, and the bloody mutilated Dread Doctors?"
Brett charged for the door, to break it down along with Liam, but Stiles was stronger once again - mentally, no way physically. "How the hell do you know about the Nogitsune?"
"You know, I didn't just become a wolf when you guys found me. I've been involved much long than then."
"I'm not bothered about who we've battled in the past, or what they were, but they ended badly for one or another," Scott said.
Everyone clearly knew he was insinuating Allison. He seemed to have 'moved on' since, loving Kira now, but there was still a gaping hole on his heart - which even a wolf couldn't heal.
"And as your Alpha, Liam, I'm telling you to stand down."
Liam lead his eyes to the floor, then drew them back to the Alpha. His adorable brown eyes were a gateway to his soul, and Liam saw the pain and misery built behind them. He nodded.
"Right, with that sorted, you two little runts" - Brett and Liam - "are going home or lacrosse or I don't care what. Just go and act like the little kids you are," Stiles ordered. He propelled the door open, harder than imagined as it bounced on its hinges, and he pointed to the open hole.
Liam lead first and hoped down the small steps. Brett raced behind, but halted before crossing the barrier. "Don't think for a second I'm leaving cus' you told me to, Stilinski," he said. "I'm doing it for Liam."
Passing through the arch way, Stiles pushed the door shut behind Brett, and sighed in frustration.
"You boys are paying for that door if it breaks, you know?" Melissa said.
Scott chuckled. "Yeah, mom."
Stiles, the sneaky person he is, peered through the slits between the blinds, as a loud crunch echoed the house as he pushed a layer down.
"They gone?" Scott asked.
"Yeah," he replied.
"What do you think it is, Scott?" Melissa said, as if she was linked to the same brain wave as Stiles.
"Right, I know we've never encounters anything like these, but my best guess is like a spell, or curse, or... it really did happen."
"So, what we going to do about it?" Stiles queried.
"We're going to find it, stop it, before those hunters do."
Swishing motion of grabbing jackets, keys, money, the boys headed out. The door opened by the hand of Scott.
"Don't you dare--" Melissa began, but was stopped as the locking sounds came for the hundredth time today. But seemed to be the last. Screws shook from their position, before they rattled on the floor along with the wooden door, like it had been shot on the front line.
She threw her hands up in exasperation. "You have got to be kidding me," she yelled.

"Okay, Scott, I know we're trying to find this psychotic-killer before those Winchester's do, but what exactly is the plan?" Stiles wasn't trying to sound rude or to undermined Scott's leadership, but he genuinely had no direction of what to do next.
"I think we should go back to the preserve - see if I can catch a scent or something." he announced.
"Oh, yeah, sure, sounds good." Stiles said, agreeing with his friend.
They walked idly down the cobbled streets, which eventually meets with preserve. There felt like no rush to get there. Although there is something dark, lurking in the shadows, no sense of urgency crept into Scott's stomach. He was a couple feet in front of Stiles, who was tailing behind as he faffed with his phone - jabbing his finger at the lit screen.
"What are you doing on there?" Scott questioned him.
"Seeing if my dad can send me the files for this case. I know he explained it to those Hunters, and you over heard, but there's got to be something we haven't realised." His glance didn't drift from his phone as he answered Scott, but Scott was staring worriedly back as he thought he could be right - but landing someone in it. "Ugh," he moaned, "they're still processing the files into the database, and my dad won't be able to get them before they're finished. Looks like the woods is our best bet, Scottie."
"Yeah, let's just hope the guy behind it was stupid enough to leave something."
Stiles had hopped forwards to join his companion, as he shoved his mobile back into his jeans, yet seemed to leave him breathless as it became ragged. "Can I ask you a quick question?" he wheezed between his breaths. "Do you actually trust these dudes? And believe what they're saying? Cus' I dont think it's just a normal coincidence that the minute they show dead bodies appear."
Scott sighed. "I get it, Stiles. You're worried. In every other incidence you've been right: when the Argent's moved back here, werewolves, people, started dying; when Jennifer showed up, human sacrifices started."
"When bloody Derek Hale emerged, we got dragged into this," he mumbled under his breath. Surprisingly, not alerting Scott.
"But they seem different, do you not think? They've actually come out in the open about the supernautral to us. Any other time, we were the ones digging, and finding it out first for ourselves. But yeah, that whole stuff about Angels and Demons, load of crap if you ask me." he chuckled softly.
"At least that's one thing we can agree on." Stiles said, as they quickened their pace.
