~*2 weeks later*~
"How long has it been now?" Liam asked.
"2 weeks," Dean replied.
"Have they still not..."
"No. Nothing. No movements, blips, nada," Dean simplified.
Sam and Stiles were lad perfectly identical on twin hospital beds. They were on the lowest floor level of the hospital to keep out of harms way, or interest of passer-bys. Also, Melissa, now fully recovered, had easy access to the medical supplies need to keep the boys in check.
Asleep on an uncomfortable chair in the corner, Scott was sprawled over it. He refused to leave the Stiles' side at any time - meaning he'd been skipping school, food, water (unless brought to him). Lydia followed in Scott's footsteps, in that she couldn't resume back to normality unless Stiles was there to live it with them, but she preferred the privacy side, and just made Scott promise to inform her on any changes in their condition.
But irritatingly for Liam and Brett, Scott was forcing them to turn up to school like nothing had happened, but they stayed at a good distance from their school mates. All Liam felt he could do at this time was to spend the evening here, along with Brett.
Although Dean had the exact same response as Scott, he was determined not to take his eyes off him as well. Large, black holes sunk under his eyes as he hadn't slept in this period. All day, everyday, he hovered over his brothers, it seemed tubes were coming out of every possible place on his body.
Castiel begged to be there, but Dean compelled him to do all the Angelic research he could with their army, as Castiel couldn't heal anyone on his own. He had tried again and again, but, no matter how high the strength of his powers felt, he couldn't erase whatever was transporting through their bodies. He had even gone to Crowley and the, trust-worthy, Demons, but still was no use.
"This is all my fault; if I had been strong enough to fight her powers in the beginning--" Liam's guilt had only tripled each day every since it happened, and it ate away at his liability.
"This probably still would have happened, Liam," Dean confessed.
The only reason the survivors had kept hope was from the fact neither bodies had begun to decompose. When Melissa started the post-mortem, she realised she couldn't complete it - they weren't actually dead somehow. She explained it that their bodies were trying to fight back, but without the heart of brain dong the same. That's got to mean something, right? they all always thought.
Bleep - a green light flashed on each of their heart monitors. Simultaneously. Yet, only once.
"What the Hell?" Liam breathed, "have they got a pulse?"
Dean ran to Sam's side, which was less than a full step, and clutched his hand this Sam's. "C'mon, Sammy," he whispered.
"Scott!" Liam shouted as he shook the Alpha awake. Scott woke with a huge shock on his face. "The monitors just flashed!" Liam dragged Scott to his feet, not because Scott didn't want to, but since he had woken from a couple hour sleep.
"What happened?" Scott asked whilst snapping his head between Dean and Stiles.
"I dunno. We were just talking and then--"
The beep came again.
It was a irregular beat pattern, which worried them all more.
But which hit the all hardest in their own hearts was seeing Sam and Stiles' eyes open. But they didn't batter them when coming back to life, as expected, they drew back in one fell swoop. Yet again, it happened simultaneously.
Sam and Stiles are alive.
