I could almost hear the main theme song of 'Mission Impossible' playing around. Niall and I were the masters of camouflage, hiding from hall to hall, doing the best we can not to be seen.
At least that's what I imagined, we honestly look like dorks, trying to look innocent while hiding a bunny. . . and a cage. Well, CM is in his bag anyways. Don't worry, he can breathe.
"Hey, what is that cage for?" Asked one student, according to the accent, he might be from Asia, East Asia. And it's by the looks too, slightly tan skin, and narrow eyes.
Seeing as I was the one carrying the cage, I replied simply, "I don't know, maybe for a bunny," I said it in a joking tune so he won't suspect that it was the truth.
"Ha, well good luck with that," He replied back cheerily and then walked away. One thing I've learned is if you don't want them to think you're hiding something, say the mad truth and then you'll have nothing left to hide.
The moment we got in our rooms, Niall and I brainstormed about where to put CM, the bunny. Finally, we settled for the cupboard but we agreed never to close it. So we put a tray under the cage, put CM with food and water. And then we let the cupboard open. . . apparently it's right near above my head when I stand up from my bed.
"So mate, are you going to come with me, or not?" I asked, referring to the game this Saturday. It's just a few hours away, across the sea.
"Yeah, I kind of need to," He mumbled trying to sound like he was against it though I know he's not. "You need to stay out of trouble. But any ideas how to get there?"
"I'll probably talk to a local tomorrow," I replied, feeling very comfortable since I tend to talk to strangers and getting them to tell a lot is my play. "You're really in?"
"Yep. Should be fun. It's definitely something to miss every once in a while, innit? You can shut up now and let me do my homework."
"That I'll do," I replied and took my laptop out. I was really planning to watch a movie when I decided to log into the website to check a few bit more details.
I chatted round with a few people, most of them recognising me since most of us are research freaks and shutting down an amusement park at the age of fifteen really are for the international news.
So some of them are looking forward to having me on their team, some are not. I'm not even offended one bit. They said they play things differently and I could not wait to see it with my own eyes. It'll be nice to play in another country.
I tried researching on that legendary record holder as well, but of course, there was nothing there that I haven't seen before. I don't know which record he has, I searched up leaguers in Canada that are record holders but none holding that icon. . . but I've seen it before.
I was preoccupied with listening to classic rock when I felt like Niall is throwing me crumpled papers. I took my headphones off and looked at him.
"What?" I asked, throwing him the crumpled papers he threw at me.
"What did you do to Taylor?" He asked.
My jaw dropped, "I beg your pardon?"
"Look, she met you a week ago, I know that. But damn, how'd you get her to be that interested in you?" Niall asked.
I felt a smile coming along though I stopped it. "Wh-Why'd you think she's interested in me?"
"I'm sorry, I was in your Literature class." He smiled. "Seeing as you didn't notice, you get the idea. She didn't either."
"Okay but how is she interested?" I asked.
"I don't know, maybe because both of you are rec—" he stopped.
