When classes finally ended, Niall and his gang had invited me to come with them but for now, I declined. I needed to explore the place a bit which, thanks to Niall, I haven't done.
"Aww, too bad, I would have wanted him to come." Kendall pouted and I smiled at her.
"Next time, love." I replied. "I need to look around the city for a moment. I hope you lot don't mind."
"Oh, I thought the reason would be strict parents, like you know, the other always-absent." Berlyn mumbled.
At first I wondered why, but it isn't a second when I realised the only one of them who isn't here is Taylor. Niall shushed Berlyn but it was way too late. I've already inferred about how Taylor has really strict parents and maybe that's why she grew up to be like that, too formal and somewhat too controlled.
"Hey, no fair." Kendall shoot to Berlyn, "She wants to be here, you know she's just busy."
"Maybe I know that." Berlyn replied and then faced me like nothing just happened. "Try not to be like that, okay?"
The way she said it wasn't rude at all, it's just a fair statement of her own opinion and I respected that. "Course, I'll try. Although I've got to warn you, I'm not that much of a perfect attendance lad." I said, quite honestly. "That shouldn't be a problem now, would it?"
"Of course, not." Aerielle told me. "Anyways, there's still the rest of the school year, right? See you around then."
I've got to admit, I expected some of them to have this Canadian stereotype way of talking that I've been reading about. Apart from the slight accent of speaking some vowels, they speak pretty much finer than I've expected.
After most of them had left, Niall stayed telling me one thing, "No troubles."
"Definitely." I said with a smile. I didn't promise him, I don't promise, I always end up breaking them so I always don't. Anyways, I wasn't planning on pranks yet, that seemed to be the most obvious first thing to do. . . but I don't know the place yet.
I walk towards the dorm, which is a block away and took my skateboard out. I left everything, including my cards, but excluding my phone and headphones. I took out my beanie, and wore it and then my headphones. I plugged it to my phone and played a some classics mixed with my favourite bands.
I walked around the city first, taking in the sights around Vancouver. It is beautiful, I've got to say. Pointed, dark green trees, a couple of mountains and every once in a while, houses made of pure log. It must be a sight to see the place in winter and I am very much looking forward to that.
As I remembered, Vancouver is one populated city, and it's practically near the sea, which is beautiful, as I've heard though I've never been there.
While walking, I decided to call my mum.
"Hey, Harry, how are you? How's your first day?" She asked.
I shrugged as I try to calculate the time differences but I couldn't really put my mind into it. "First day's fine." I answered. "I'm fine as well. Back home?"
"Everything is fine here." Mum replied. "Meet any friends?"
"Yep." I said. "Niall and his gang are quite good people. I'm still trying to take a look at Vancouver, and don't worry, I have Google Maps to assist me."
The last part was a lie, I haven't even looked at Google Maps for almost a year. Mostly, I explore on my own, and let myself be familiar with every place.
I bumped into someone, I apologised and then later on listened to what my mum is saying.
"Oh yes, mum, they were nice. Don't worry." I said. "But honestly, there were jerks."
