I waited for a while for the rain to ease down but it still kept going. Taylor had left, I just don't know when. She was completely silent walking in and walking out, the raindrops had helped but, she's already that way regardless if it's noisy or not.
Amazing as she was, I really wished I got to see it in action. . . at least until winter here because I'd like to home after it. I really miss my mum and I've never been too far away from home for a long time.
When occasionally, I got bored, I took my headphones off and put everything important to me in my bag. Thank God, I picked a waterproof sling bag, it originally is a laptop carrier but, what the hell? There are a few spaces left and I figured, it'd be a nice to be a school bag.
Once I've strapped everything finely, I started stepping forward.
"You're seriously not considering to step out in the rain, are you?" I heard Taylor's voice all of a sudden, making me almost jump in shock.
"Bloody hell!" I exclaimed.
My eyes widened as I turned around, the complete startled expression on my face. "What?" I asked, I don't remember what she said, all I know is she had snuck up on me. How did she do that?! I did not see or hear her coming.
"I said, you're seriously not considering stepping out in the rain," She said, "Are you?" Her tone is very serious, quite unlike the cheerful one I've been talking to.
"I have considered," I replied.
"And you're going to do it?!" She asked like the rain I'm stepping into is acid.
"Yes," I said and started walking when she pulled me back.
"No, you might get sick," Taylor said, and what the hell am I hearing right now, concern?
I raised an eyebrow at her, "Weren't you the one who told me to leave you alone just a few minutes ago?"
"It was seventeen minutes ago, technically, it wasn't just a few," She corrected but she seemed a bit embarrassed in doing it. Like I said, she's every bit time accurate.
I was quiet for a moment but then I figured I couldn't be speechless for an amount of time."All the same," I said. "I'll be alright."
"Don't you have an umbrella?" She asked.
"I wouldn't be walking out in the rain if I have, now would I?" I asked cunningly.
"Is everything a joke to you?" She asked, I'm still trying yo figure out what kind of tone she used and mood she's in.
"Funny things are," I replied.
Taylor scoffed, slightly rolling her eyes. She licked her lips and came forward to me, "Avengers reference. Funny."
"Sarcasm, at its finest." I smiled. "Alright I need to be going, and you need to escape your driver or such."
"I don't need to escape him today, he's already given up." She grumbled halfheartedly. "Can I come with you?"
"Didn't you just tell me to leave you alone eighteen minutes ago?" I asked, bringing it back.
She looked at he wristwatch, "Eighteen and thirty-seconds."
First of all, that's one thing she's better at than me. Second of all, how is that an easy thing?! And lastly, one does not simply read watches like they read books.
"I told you to leave me alone, yes," She said, "But that never meant I should leave you alone."
"Uhuh?" Alright, she's confusing the hell out of me. And she's standing way too awfully close now, I'm starting to get heart palpitations. That's not normal.
