Allie's new car at the side

*

I wandered through the whole lot with a huge smile on my face. “Cody, you don’t really have to—“

“Oh nonsense Allie, you’ve got your license anyway, and you do need some kind of transportation to school. Anyway, you’re seventeen, and besides, you’re living the easy life with me now, little sister.”He said as he looked at the pretty convertibles.

I smiled wildly. I never thought of getting my own car. Emma and I would hitch a ride in Nicole’s truck. I looked all around when I saw great car. It was a Mustang Cobra that I once heard my friend back in my old school lusting over.

---

It felt good to feel the warm summer breeze in my hair. I had to thank Cody a million more times when I get back home, but before that, I need to go to my school first.

Following the address and directions, I found myself at a very nice public school that had a very green lawn and cream colored walls. Trees aligned the way, making it look like a mini forest. At one side was a bike stand and at the other very edge, where I was was the parking lot.

I walked towards the office, following a set of arrows.

“Hello dear.” Greeted the middle aged receptionist. “Hey back. I’m scheduled for an appointment with the principal. I’m Allijah, by the way.”

She gave me a warm smile. “Oh right, you’re the new senior girl.” She showed me the way to the office. Inside was the usual modern boring office, and in the middle was a lady in her forties talking on the phone. I knocked, and she excused herself from the phone.

“Hello Ms. Monroe. Please, sit down.” She said, pointing to one of the leather chairs. I sat down, and I felt like I’ve done something wrong to sit here in the principal’s office. I knew that I did nothing wrong, but sitting in here makes me feel like she was gonna announce suspension.

“Well, in a week, you’ll be going here to Trinity High, we expect some standards.” And with that, the rules go on and on…

---

“Well thank you Ms Riley.” I said as I stood up and shook her hand. Finally, an hour and a half over. I walked towards the door, when suddenly it opened.

“Hey Ms. R.” A guy said.

                A very good looking guy.

“Liam, didn’t I ever tell you to knock?” Ms. Riley said behind me.

“And didn’t I ever tell you how scowling makes you look older?” He retorted, a smirk forming.

I could practically hear her rolling her eyes. “Sit down, we need to discuss you’re behavior. And you may now go Allie.” She said. I looked back at her before I felt the guy shove his way to the chair. I mumbled an “Ow” before doing so.

I closed the door behind me, and I looked back at the smooth dark door. Typical guy. He may look really hot, but the guy needs to work on the attitude.

                But damn, he was fit.

---

I took off my converse and ruffled my blond hair as I closed the door behind me. I opened my plaid shirt, revealing a low cut undershirt beneath. I smiled as I felt the cold air blow at my neck as I passed by the air conditioner.

I went in the kitchen to grab a can of orange soda when my phone rang.

“Hey, what’s up?” I asked as I sat on the counter in front of the fridge. “Hey Allie.” Emma greeted over the phone. “You know when I told you that I got in touch with a close friend of ours five months ago when I went over there to visit my aunt Katherine?"

I opened the can with a loud hissing sound, the orange citrus scent filling up my nostrils.

“The totally cute one with the dark hair you described?” I guessed as I drank. “Yeah. Well, I told him about my best friend moving over there, and he’s also an incoming senior at Trinity High. He already added you in facebook, you just need to accept. Well, anyway, he thought that maybe you guys could get to know each other while it’s summer. He’s still gonna ask you though.”

I rolled my eyes. “Emma, I’m still not getting a boyfriend. No matter what you say, I’m still waiting for the right one.”

“Psh. You and your cheesy movies.”

It was true. I was a hopeless romantic, wanting to have my first relationship with the one. Like my parents. Yeah, cliché and a stupid dream, but hey, I was that type of girl.
