Please read my new story Safe and Sound. It's my second story I've posted, Music and Lyrics being the third. I deleted Music and Lyrics but I'll reupload it very soon. Just so you guys know, Safe and Sound is a sad story about an outcast who pushes people away. She meets a guy who saves her at a situation but she's really skeptical about his kindness towards her, seeing as no one bothered to talk to her.

               I groaned as Cody opened the window of the room. "It's too dark in here, Al. You'll be mistaken for a vampire." He joked. "Hey, where's Liam?" I blurted out. 

               "He went back home." He said. I sighed. 

               "Is there something you're not telling me?"

               I looked up at his eyes, his head cocked to the side. At times like these I wondered how we two are siblings. Cody was just extremely handsome, with the gorgeous hazel eyes and broad shoulders. It would shock anyone to think I'm his sister. I'd never be pretty. Never enough.

               I gave him a dry smile, waving him off. "Nah, just wanted to know."

               "He's been really worried about you, you know. You were in a car crash." He said, sitting down on the chair next to me. I gave him a half smile. "No shit sherlock." I said. He ruffled my hair, but slowly and surely so he wouldn't hit my forehead. "I've been worried, kid."

               I gave him a sincere, tender smile. He never called me kid for a long time. Only when we’d fight and he wanted to piss me off, but I knew he meant this in another way.

               "I'm sorry if i wasn't there when mom..." He trailed off and I gave him a forced smile, trying not to cry. "It's okay." I whispered.

                "C'mon! You'd love my surprise!"

               I rolled my eyes as I wheeled towards our door. "Cody, I hate surprises." I said dully. I'm in a crappy mood right now. It involves the time of the month and the fact that I got shots earlier. Cody pouted, and I knew he only did that because I couldn't reach him. He knew that i'd smack it off his face.

               I groaned as I opened the door. "Cody, you better--"

               My jaw dropped as tears welled up. "Emmalie? Nikki?"

               My two best friends nodded with tears in their eyes. I blinked twice before they rushed to me. I hugged them tightly as tears fell faster. "I missed you guys..."

               "We missed you too Al..."

               I heard the door close behind me and I knew Cody left us. After my friends let go of me, my eyes connected with Liam's shocking blue eyes. My heart picked up.

               "Hey Allie." Liam greeted with a big smile. Before i knew it, he bent over and hugged me. I was shocked at first but after a second I leaned my head on his broad shoulder and breathed in his scent as he touched the small of my back.

               He let go after two seconds, which was fast. Too fast. 

               He gave me a small smile before excusing himself to go. He said he just showed the girl the way here then he left.
