Pashiva 4 The Duln Saga

A Walk Through the Forest, Felren and His Childhood Friends

         Felren was in the cave inside of the ravine staring at the trio of people he seems to know. "Ragnar, Eled, Nolko, its been so long". Felren said with a smile of relief on his face. Ragnar the one without his left eye then walked over to Felren and gave him a hug of great relief and friendship. Nolko the one who was missing his right arm and Eled the one with the scar under his right eye walked over to Felren and shook his hand. "Guys, what's going on with you three"? Felren asked. "We should ask you the same thing, ever since you left we never got a message about the progress of your mission.". Nolko said. "Yeah, how'd that turn out"? Eled asked. "Enough, don't bombard our friend with such irrelevant questions". Ragnar said. "Oh it's nothing it went uhh, well is happened". Felren said. "What do you mean"? Ragnar asked curiously. "Well at Archvil I made some friends who helped me out with the crisis. But what ended up happening was the Under Lord Leach was summoned, we had to go to Stonegrove to fight her but afterwards we got involved in the Aryopolin Civil war and we had to stop another Under Lord. A lots happened really". Felren explained casually. "So you and your friends are the ones who got involved in the whole Archvil and Aryopolin escapades"? Eled asked. "Yeah, one of my friends' Eresil taught me and my friends other forms of Pashiva. Apparently I'm a Pashiva Knight as are my other friends". Felren explained. "Hahaha, I guess that explains a lot. When we were kids training to become Rangers you learned Watered Pores and Hair Vines quicker then any of us in the entire village". Nolko said. Eled and Ragnar seemed somewhat upset by that statement for reasons unrelated to them learning slower then Felrne. "Oh yeah I haven't used those powers in a while. I haven't been around enough water or thick foliage to be able to use it effectively. I wonder how good I'll be able to use it". Felren said. "Let's find out, hey Ragnar go get the metal bucket with water". Eled said. "Sure send the guy missing an arm to go fetch the water bucket". Ragnar said while walking over to a corner of the cave with a bucket of water. He carried it by edge of it while it spilled small amounts of water out of it. "You should've gotten someone else to carry it". Nolko said. Eled ignored him while Ragnar placed down the water bucket. "Alright let's see what you go". Ragnar said. Felren placed his hand in the water as he closed his eyes and sucked up the water similar to how Eresil did it in his demonstration. However Felren's performance of Watered Pores was more flowing and seemed almost effortless. Felrne's hand then started to act as a pipe as his entire arm started to bulk up as did other parts of his body. While Eresil's demonstration involved taking in enough water to bulk up his hand's muscles, Felren took in the entirety of the water to where he would pump the water all around his body and send it into various muscles until his entire body was bulked up slightly from the water. Eled, Nolko and Ragnar seemed impressed. "Thank goodness you taught us how to effectively use that form". Nolko said. "Yeah it's pretty smart dividing the water to other muscles in your body rather then piling them up in just one muscle". Eled said. "What about Hair Vines"? Ragnar said plucking a vine from the ceiling of the cave. He threw it to Felrne who then started to apply it to him within seconds. Suddenly Felren's hair on his head specifically had vines where his hair should be. He then effortlessly swung them around as whips causing slight cracks in the walls. Felren then concentrated slightly harder as the hair vines shrunk back into his head and his normal hair replaced them. "Amazing". Ragnar said. "What about the other forms you learned"? Nolko asked. "Maybe later. I'm kinda here on urgent business". Felren said. "Wait then why are you here"? Eled asked. "My friend Melat's mom got kidnapped and we're trying to find her and we're cutting through here. Well we're staying at Marsh Village where the Mayor said that the Ferocious Riders have taken over. I thought about it and I realized that's why I never got a message asking about my mission. Because while I was on duty, Duln was already taken over. We were told that if these Riders capture and kill the mythical Rep- Sapien then they'll take half of the country's wealth. So we're here for a day and a half looking for it so the Riders don't get it first". Felren explained. "I see, well you got everything right. We're in hiding right now and occasionally go out into the wilderness looking for other surviving Rangers so we can join forces and maybe take back Duln. If you want we can all go out and look for the Rep- Sapien together". Ragnar said. "Yeah, it'll be just like old times". Eled said. "Alright sure we can do that". Felren said with an excited attitude for their journey. 

        About half an hour later Felren, Nolko, Eled and Ragnar were walking down an empty dirt road through the forest. "So where are we headed"? Felren asked. "Well we've also been searching for the Rep- Sapien while we've been in hiding in case the Riders got any ideas like what you've mentioned". Eled said. "There've been many sightings of the Rep- Sapien near the Capital of Duln Country". Eled said. "Eden"? Felren asked. Suddenly the group seemed now somewhat upset with the exception of Felren who was more confused then anything. Felren pondered for a moment until he reached a realization. He remembered them feeling upset when Felren was reminded that he learned Watered Pores and Hair Vines quicker then the other three, he then just witnessed the group become mellow and saddened by the word Eden. Felren then felt as if he'd figured everything out. "Oh yeah, I forgot. Lucius". Felren said while the other three practically had to bite their tounges not to say anything. "You know looking back at it, he learned Watered Pores and Hair Vines just as quickly as I did. I remember how everyday we used to go to Eden and climb the main trunk (chuckles)". Felren said trying to lighten the mood. The three Rangers couldn't keep silent anymore until Ragnar spoke. "Felren, about Lucius. He.....". Ragnar spoke trying to get the words out but couldn't. The group stopped walking for a moment so Ragnar could speak. "What is it. He's been dead for two years". Felren reminded them. "He, he came back". Ragnar said quietly. Felren's eyes widened in shock. "He then joined forces with the Ferocious Riders and he completly out classes us in every way". Ragnar concluded. "What, he came back? How? And why join forces with those brutes the Ferocious Riders, he was killed by barbarians". Felren said. "He didn't say, all that happened was one day when we were trying to fight back at Trevil City, we all tried out damnedest to fight Lucius and try to sway him back to our side but he wouldn't listen to us". Eled said. "He wears some sort of steel armor with some black and white paint on it which he probably added, which we couldn't even make a dent in, large steel gauntlets similar to yours, and armored shoes. He's definetly armored to the core". Nolko said. Felren took in all this information at once. He pieced together that Lucius has now turned against his friends and Felren also had to piece together that Lucius now wears a full set of Pashiva Armor. Felren then changed his expression to a stern one. Without a word he kept walking. "Felren". Ragnar said. "We keep moving, we're gonna find Lucius and teach him a lesson". Felren said. "Where are we heading"? Nolko asked. "Where we were going before, Eden". Felren said. Suddenly Ragnar, Eled and Nolko were following Felren to the capital of Duln Country. The city of Eden.
