Your POV
I was done unpacking.
"Do you smell that?" Melissa asked. I sniffed the air.
"Smells like..." I started to say.
"Canadian bacon." We said in unison. It's early in the morning in Canada. So Autumn might be making breakfast.
"Pancakes with maple syrup. Oh how much I've missed Canada." Melissa said. I laughed.
"Well what are we waiting for? Let's go eat!" I said. We walked out of the room.
"Race you downstairs." I said.
"It's on." She said. She ran downstairs while I slid on the railing. I won.
"Alright I have to admit that was cool." Melissa said. I laughed. I got a text from Evan.
Why did you ignore me? I wanted to tell you something.
I'm sorry Evan. I was in a rush. Tell me when I get back.

I will.
I turned off my phone and walked into the kitchen.
"Smells delicious ma!" Melissa exclaimed.
"Thanks I made it just for you." Autumn said. Melissa smiled. She grabbed a plate and started to grab some food.
"Y/n do you want some?" Liam asked. I nodded. He handed me a plate.
"What's the agenda for you two?" Autumn asked.
"We're just going to bring back the old memories here. We'll just walk around town." Melissa said. I nodded.
"So about the college thing, what happened?" Autumn asked.
"There's terrorist attacks on campus. It's up to both of us to stop it before it gets too much. The brains and the bronze on the job." I said.
"That's horrible! Please stay safe." Liam said.
"We will. I promise." I said.
"So Melissa, how are you and Lui?" Ava asked.
"Ten years strong. Still together." Melissa answered and smiled. Ten years they've been together. It's surprising to hear.
"What about you y/n? Found anyone?" Ava asked smirking.
"Yeah I have. I mean, I like him but I don't know about him." I said.
"Y/n I'm sure you're going to find the right guy. I mean look at you, you're smart, beautiful, you're everything a guy wants." Autumn said. I smiled at her.
"Thank you." I said. She nodded.
"Well I'm done with breakfast, come on y/n let's go." Melissa said.
"Wait after I finish this last piece-" I was cut off by her pulling me away. I grabbed the bacon and shoved it in my mouth and walked with her.
"Ma! I'm borrowing your vehicle!" Melissa yelled.
"Alright honey! Stay safe!" Autumn yelled back. Melissa grabbed the keys and opened the door. We walked to the car and hopped in.
"Alright to the town we go!" Melissa said and drove off.
When we arrived at the stores it looked brand new. Like it wasn't there before. Everything seemed...different. Melissa and I got out of the car. I shivered from a cold breeze.
"Come on. Let's get some warm things." Melissa said. I nodded. We walked into a store.
"Bienvenue dans notre magasin! Il suffit de demander à un préposé si vous avez besoin d'aide!" The store clerk said.
"Oh great he speaks French. I got this." Melissa said.
"What'd he say?" I asked.
"He said, Welcome to our store! Just ask an attendant if you need assistance!" Melissa translated.
"Merci, mais nous sommes bons." Melissa said.
"Huh?" I said.
"I said thank you but we're good." She said. I nodded. We walked around the store.
"Y/n! I just realized something!" Melissa stated.
"That is?" I asked.
"Evan is from Canada. It'll make his day if we get him a souvenir from here!" She exclaimed.
"Maybe we should also get one for Yuki, Lui and Craig." I noted. She nodded. I grabbed a heavy jacket and a beanie for me while Melissa did the same.
"Nice toque." Melissa said laughing. I realized we got the same beanie. I laughed as well. I gasped. I saw a trophy with a bronze Canadian maple leaf attached. Perfect for Evan. Melissa picked up a keychain.
"For Yuki." Melissa noted. I nodded. I picked up a shirt for Craig. Glad we got them out of the way.
"Wait Melissa, what if, you know, we don't survive?" I asked.
"Quit thinking about the negative things. We'll get through this. I promise you." She responded. I nodded still a little unsure. We walked up the the cashier.
"Ce sera quarante-neuf cinquante." The cashier said. Melissa pulled out her wallet and handed him the money.
"Merci, bonne journée!" He said as we left.
"Vous aussi!" Melissa said. We left the store and walked around town. It sure has changed.
