Your POV
We boarded the plane. I looked at where we were suppose to sit. Two rows in the one of the left. I looked up and walked to that area with Melissa. We sat down."Can I get you ladies anything?" A flight attendant asked.
"Not right now but thanks for asking." I said. She nodded and walked away.
"What do you wanna watch?" Melissa asked.
"NCIS sounds good." I said. She nodded and changed the channel to that. I also pulled out my laptop. I researched some more of the college.
"It's going to be tough." McGee said in the show.
"Damn right it is." Melissa said.
"In the show and in real life." I added. She nodded. Finally the plane took off. We continued watching NCIS till both of us fell asleep.
I woke up to the pilot speaking.
"We are now going to land. Please stay seated." He said. I turned the television off and closed my laptop. I woke Melissa up.
"Have we landed yet?" She asked.
"We are about to." I said. She nodded and got up. Slowly we did land. We wanted till most people left. We got up and walked off. We walked to the suitcase pickup and waited for ours. Finally we were able to get them.
"I'm going to call my mother to pick us up." Melissa stated. She pulled out her phone.
"Hello mother." She said.
"Yeah yeah um, I have a request for you. Can you pick me and my friend up at the airport?" She asked.
"Yes yes that one. Thanks. Love you. Bye." She said hanging up.
"She'll be here?" I asked. She nodded.
"I'm hungry again. Need anything?" She asked.
"A drink would be nice. Thank you." I said. She nodded and went to get the food.
"Y/n! Is that you? Aw how I missed you!" Melissa's mother squealed and ran up to me and hugged me.
"Yep still me." I said hugging back.
"How've you been?" She asked.
"I've been great thank you for asking." I said.
"Why'd you guys come?" She asked curiously.
"Oh we need to go to our old college." I said. She nodded.
"Oh your ears must be so cold. Here take my toque." She said taking off her beanie. I gladly accepted it. My ears were indeed cold.
"Hey y/n I'm ba- Mother!" Melissa said. She handed me my drink and hugged her mother.
"Oh honey how I missed you." She said. I've always loved Mrs. Gagnon. She was a young woman who looked beautiful. She was kind and generous whether it be a mean thing. I would call her by her real name. Which is Autumn.
"I've missed you as well mom." Melissa said.
"Let's go home." Autumn said. We nodded and walked with our luggage to the car.
"Ma how's dad?" Melissa asked.
"Oh he's at home. He just got off of work an hour ago. He's really eager to see you again." Autumn responded. Melissa's dad was a hard working man who loves his family as much as anyone else could. Melissa wasn't an only child, she also had a little sister. She is in sophomore year of high school. Ava was like a devils child. But she was joking all through it. Finally we got to the house.
"Same house? I've really missed this place." Melissa said.
"I do too." I agreed. We went into the house.
"Liam! Your daughter's here!" Autumn said. Liam came running downstairs and hugged Melissa.
"Sweetie! We've missed you!" Liam said.
"Ava come down here!" Autumn said. Ava slowly walked downstairs.
"I just noticed you brought y/n!" Liam said. He came to hug me too.
"Oh. It's you two." Ava said jokingly. She hugged both of us. I consider them to be my second family. Even though Craig will always be my favorite brother.
"I'll show you two your rooms." Autumn said. We followed her upstairs into Melissa's old room.
Flashback
I knocked on Melissa's door."Come in my beautiful friend." Melissa said. I smiled. I opened the door and walked in.
"New phone who dis?" I said. This is what we said as a secret insult.
"Oh no you didn't." Melissa said teasingly. We made jokes like those all the time. She hit me softly with a pillow.
"Pillow fight!" I yelled. I laughed and picked up a pillow. We started hitting each other with them.
Not a flashback I think.
I smiled at the past.
"New phone who dis?" Melissa said smiling.
"It's on." I said. I grabbed a pillow and hit her. She stopped the pillow though.
"I'm saving my strength for tomorrow." She stated. I nodded.
"Come on let's unpack." I said. She nodded.
"Hold up Lui texted me." She said.
"Aw is the little child missing his mommy?" I teased.
"I'm telling him you said that." She said.
"No please stop. No. Put the phone down." I said. We laughed. She put the phone down and started to unpack. I did too.
