Chapter 2: Transfer and Reunion

After choking down my meal, I ran up to my room to have a little scream-fest since Mother only told me about this now and that my first day starts tomorrow. That woman drives me crazy sometimes...anyway. I plop onto my bed and bring put my laptop, surprisingly I find Rin-senpai's email address still there. Its been awhile since we talked, and the last time we did I think it was about the time that Sousuke confessed to him or something, he came seeking love advice from me even though I didn't really have any experience.

Anyways, instead of emailing him I decide to video call just to annoy him hehe.

It took awhile but he finally answered and when I looked at him, his hair was a mess.

"K-kona?!" He screams then suddenly says in a shushed voice, "Um...Sousuke's sleeping so I'm just gonna wake him up...." Then I hear Sousuke screaming and when I look he appears to be shirtless.

"A-AH!" Rin screams and falls of the top bunk and lands surprisingly on top of Sousuke blushing.

"Pfft! Ahhahahahahahahhahaha!" I start laughing through the computer screen then both of them look at me and and I swear they are staring daggers. And I'm pretty sure Sousuke's mad that I saw Rin shirtless, ah, he's too overprotective.

Then, the screen suddenly goes black and I can tell that Sousuke's probably telling Rin off for not wearing a shirt then I look at the screen to see Rin and Sousuke with extremely annoyed looks.

"Well, that was anticlimactic wasn't that boys?" I ask playfully, teasing them.

"Don't you even get started..." Rin says and looks down, "Anyway, why did you even call?"

"Well then, if you really must know this is an extreme matter of life and death we are talking about, and if you aren't ready to know this sacred truth then leave, but if you are, sign now and forever hold you-"

"Don't even, just cut to the chase already." Sousuke says.

"Gosh fine, I'm transferring to Samezuka you happy?"

"Wait. Your transferring? Why? It thought you were happy in Iwatobi?" Rin asks.

"Minor complications, now. Are you saying you don't want me?"

"Well...not entirely, since I thought you really liked Nagisa." Sousuke said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"W-what?! How did you know?!" I exclaimed, Anesuto didn't tell did he?

"Its kinda obvious." Sousuke said with a shrug.

"WAIT! YOU LIKE NAGISA?!" Rin suddenly screams out of nowhere.

"Yeah Rin, kind of a late reaction time here." Sousuke said then kissed his forehead.

"Sousuke,  d-don't do those things in front of other people..." Rin says, blushing softly.

"Heh, ok." Sousuke said but he just kissed his forehead again.

"Y-you..."

"Excuse me for interrupting your little moment but I'm still here." I said making them both blush in embarrassment.

"Yeah...anyway, since your transferring I guess we could introduce you tot he swim team guys." Rin says thinking thoughtfully.

"Oh, and um, could you be our new manager? Our old one left for California(yeah sorry)." Sousuke adds.

"Uhm...ok?" I said, not quite sure how to manage a swim team but since Go did it all the time I suppose it won't be as bad.

"Well then, now that that's all settled I'm gonna end this call so me and Rin can have some fun." He then says winking at me, oh god. Sousuke your evil man.

"Yeah bye Kona, w-wait what!?" Rin suddenly screams as Sousuke ends the call. Ah, this is going to end up weird.

Shutting of my laptop I sigh and lay down on the bed once more. "Maybe I should go out..." Then sitting up, I suppose a walk couldn't hurt right? Or maybe I'll just stop by the café and get a scone or something.

Coming out from the shower I dress up in a cream-colored cat hoodie and some red shorts with a leather belt(the shorts were Mother's ok?).  Stuffing my cellphone, handkerchief, notebook and pen(I dunno why honestly), then something inside my notebook happens to fall out. And when I stoop down to pick it up I realize its a necklace with a cats paw on it, where did I get this again? Oh yeah....Nagisa won it for me during the summer festival last year. He said that I looked like a cat so it would look cute on me. Gosh! Stop thinking about that twit would you?! Shoving the necklace in my purse I then put on some brown leather boots and brush my hair, then head out.

Walking along the sidewalk towards the café I realize how nice it smells because of all the flowers, orchids, lily's and roses fill the air. Arriving at the café, I make no hurry to take a seat by the window and wait for the waiter to come by.

"Hello Miss, welcome to Vandalia what would you like to order?" A short waitress with jet black hair that was pinned up with a pen approaches my table with a menu and hands it to me.

Taking a look over the menu I decide to order Eggs Benedict(Hi Ervin ehehehe) and some iced tea. Then just as the waitress leaves I hear a voice coming from the other table,

"Kona?" Ah, the ever so unmistakable voice of Rin. Turning to them I smile then I realizes he's got company.

"Hi Kokona." Sousuke says and waves.

Then, a gray-haired boy, a little taller then me stepped out from behind Rin then cautiously whisper, "Rin-senpai you know this person?"

"Oh! Yeah, Kona this is Aiichiro Nitori! He's a second year back at our school!" Rin said as he, Sousuke and Aiichiro-san sat down at my table.

"Hi, Aiichiro-san. I'm Shirogane Kokona." I said politely bowing slightly.

"We usually just call her Kona." Rin says and takes a sip of the questionable drink he had in his hand. "Oh, and she's also the one we told you about earlier remember? The one who's transferring tomorrow."

"So why are you guys here?" I asked.

"Ah, well. I originally was going to take Rin out on a date but we happened to bump into Aiichiro-kun so we decided to tag him along with us instead, and well you know, then we bumped into you." Sousuke explained then the waitress came back with two trays and set down the food before me.

"So that's one Eggs Benedict(Hi Ervin) and an iced tea, would you like to add anything else?" Then her gaze lands on Rin and then she suddenly blushes.

"No, I'm fine thanks." Then she immediately turned around and ran to leave.

Once she's out of sight Sousuke wrapped his arm around Rin's shoulder and pressed him to his chest. "Geez Rin, why do you have to attract everyone?"

Rin quietly blushes and looks away.

Then I notice Aiichiro-kun looking a little bit weirded out then I whisper to him, "Just us third and fourth wheels Ne Aiichiro-kun?" That made him laugh a little.

"Heh, you can call me Aii by the way. I'm not used to people calling me by my whole name."

"Ok then, Aii-chan?" I asked quietly, teasing in some way.

"Yeah, well then. I call you Kona?" He said and all I did was nod my head.

...

After about 30 minutes I realized that Mother might be wondering where I am by now. So I decided to take off.

"Bye Rin, Sousuke. Nice meeting you Aii-chan." I giggled and bit and wave off.

Nitori's POV

Rin-senpai and Sousuke depart and just as I walk out of the café something shiny on the sidewalk caught my eye, picking it up it was a necklace with a black cats paw on it. "Heh, how cute." I whisper slightly then think of how cute Kona-san's cat hoodie was. "Maybe its hers..." I said then shoved it into my pocket for safekeeping.
