Chapter 9: Odd Feelings

Anesuto drove me back to Iwatobi without saying anything, all he did was open the passengers seat for me and drive off once I was back inside the school.

When I went into the dorm Wakana was wondering why I was being so quiet and I just brushed it off for being tired. Wakana simply understood and smiled, if only I could just brush this off and smile too huh? What am I going to do now when I face Nagisa?

Not wanting to think about it anymore I changed into a loose T-shirt and some shorts then lay down on my bed. Face down.

"You OK Kokona?" Wakana asks me as she sits on the edge of my bed.

"Lots of stuff just happened when we went out."

"Dramatic stuff?" She inquired.

"Hah...yes, a lot of dramatic stuff." I then sit up and face Wakana.

"Wanna talk about it? I'm all ears, besides,  the disciplinary committee people are supposed to help fellow students."

I smiled slightly at her then started spilling all the stuff that just happened previously. It felt good to let all of it out, she didn't try to interrupt me, all she did was nod solemnly and day 'uhuh'. But when I got to the part where Nagisa kissed me her eyes grew wide but she stayed silent. And then I started talking about Rei then her eyes grew wide again.

"R-rei Ryugazaki?" She asked.

I nodded and a significant blush grew on her face.

"Haha! You like him?" I asked and nudged her playfully.

"N-no...something just happened where we had an encounter of...some sorts." She shrugged and then went back on topic to me, "So what did he talk to you about?"

"Just..things, and Wakana can I ask you something."

"Sure what?"

"Is it possible to like someone who you've only known for a week?"

"... Its Aiichiro-kun isn't it?" She raised an eyebrow at me and smirked as I felt myself blush.

"Y-yeah... But I'm not entirely sure whether I actually like him or not. Because I might just be using him to forget about Nagisa and..... Love is hard isn't it Wakana?"

She nods and smiles, "This is why I'm trying to not fall in love. But...when people are heartbroken they turn to the people who are nice and remind them most of the person who broke their hearts."

I never once compared Nagisa and Aii-chan.... But when I think about it. They're so different. And almost not even alike unless you count that their both nice, but that's a kind of general trait isn't it?

"Or sometimes," Wakana added, "We turn to those who we find nice and feel comfortable around. Someone who can make us forget about the pain. And I believe that person is worthwhile and you really like him. I think you really like Aiichiro-kun Kokona. And well...its kind of obvious he likes you back."

"Wait....WHAT?!" No...no, calm down this is just a speculation.

"You know he's being pretty obvious about liking you Kona." A voice comes from the open door.

"Rin! You can just barge into their room like that!"

"Oi! Matsuoka! Yamazaki! What are you doing just barging into girls dorms!" Wakana immediately turns into her head disciplinarian mode.

"Well...that was what I was gonna tell Rin just that, but we were coming to visit Kokona and I was gonna actually knock." Sousuke says and flicks Rin's forehead

"Ow!"

"You deserve it." Sousuke then smugly steps into the room.

"Alright, both of you come in! Just sit down and join the conversation already. Also, do any of you know if Aiichiro-kun likes Kokona in ways other than one?"
