Fifty Shades of Phoebe Grey

Chapter four

The week flies by and the day of the benefit is finally here. After a delicious breakfast, I throw on some workout clothes and head down to our gym. About two hours later I am finished with my intense workout and head stairs to take a shower. I walk out of my bathroom wrapped in my fluffy pink bathrobe to find mom sitting on my bed.

"Hey." I say.

"Do you need help getting ready for tonight?" She asks.

"No, I think I've got it under control."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes mom, I'm sure. I was serious about no body seeing my dress until tonight. " I say.

She nods and gets up leaving my room, but not before placing a small box on my vanity. I close the door behind her and lock it before opening the box. In it lies the most gorgeous necklace and matching pair of earrings. Smiling I close the box and grab the bag of makeup out of my closet. I pull up the tutorial and set my ipad up on the corner of my vanity. Slowly I begin to apply the makeup just as the girl does in the video. I get the eyeshadow on perfectly but then screw up on my eyeliner. After about three tries I finally get the eyeliner right and move on to my face. It takes me all of three hours to get my makeup finished. I look at my clock and see it is already five thirty. I quickly curl my hair before putting it in a elegant updo. Grabbing my dress I slip it on and zip it up the side. Once my shoes are on I pull out the box mom gave me and put on the earrings and necklace. Spraying my favorite perfume I head out of my room to the stairs. As I make my way to the kitchen I notice that everyone is already outside.

Once I reach the door to the venue set up in the back yard I stop and take a deep breath. Slowly I make my entrance and immediately all eyes are on me. I stop for the photographers to take my picture before heading off in search of my family's table. As soon as I find It I am ready to turn around and head back to the house. Dad looks pissed and so does Teddy. I walk over and take a seat between dad and Teddy.

"What are you wearing?" Dad whispers through gritted teeth.

"A dress." I feign innocence.

" you told me I would approve of it and I do not approve of this dress. It is too revealing."

"Christian, leave your daughter alone. She looks beautiful." Mom steps in.

" I will not have a bunch of boys checking out my sixteen year old daughter." He snaps

"She's growing up, you aren't gong to be able to stop it. You just have to trust her to do the right thing. " mom says putting a hand on his shoulder.

He sighs showing that he's given up this fight for now. Soon the server starts handing out the food and we and have a good time laughing and telling stories. After we have all eaten until and we cant eat any more mom and dad head to the dance floor and teddy disappears somewhere. Im left at the table with grandma and grandpa.

"Sweetie how have you been?" Grandma asks

"Good."

"You look beautiful darling. Don't listen to what your father says. I know this very cute young man-"

"Grandma!" I squeak cutting her off

A little later in the night I am walking to the bathroom when a green eyed god stops me.

"Hey there." He smiles leaning against the pillar

"Hi." I blush.

"What's your name gorgeous?" He asks

"Phoebe. What's yours?"

"Parker." He smirks

I got so lost in his eyes that I forgot I even had to use the bathroom. We talked for a good hour before making our way to the dance floor. Somehow we managed to avoid my brother and father. Eventually we end up out in the back lawn and I have to admit I could get used to being around parker. At the end of the night I find myself walking him to his car. Once at his car we stand in silence for a few minutes and just as I turn to leave he grabs my arm and I feel his warm soft lips on mine. We pull apart and I am smiling like an idiot. We say goodbye and I give him my number before heading into the house. Mom dad and teddy are sitting at the table playing cards against humanity. I quickly run upstairs and change in some sweats and a t-shirt before joining them.

Dad orders a pizza and we start a new game. So far dad has been appalled by this game while me and teddy cant stop laughing our asses off. Dad is continually grumbling about how obscene the game is. After four pieces of pizza, two dr peppers, and three hours of cards against humanity I decide its time head off to bed.

Breakfast the next morning is delicious and it is decided that we will be going to the movies as a family tonight. Going to the movies isn't something we normally do so I am very excited about it. After breakfast mom corners me and questions me about parker.

" who was the guy you snuck off with last night?"

"What! You saw me. I promise nothing happened we just talked."

"Your father was about to send Taylor to track you down cause you disappeared. Luckily I talked him out of it. What was this boys name?" She asks

"His name is parker. Its no big deal mom. We just talked. "

" I believe you sweetheart, just promise me you will be careful and if anything does come of you and parker you cant keep it from your father forever." She states.

"Wait so your not going to tell dad."

" no, but don't make me regret that decision"

" thanks mom!" I jump up hugging her.
