Chapter Nine

Woken up by the sound of my alarm I quickly jump in the shower and get ready to head to my first day at my new job. It's nothing fancy just a bookseller at the Barnes and nobles that is just around the corner from my place. Deciding I have enough time to run by Starbucks on the way I skip breakfast at my place. As I am walking out of my door I run into teddy.

"Where are you going so early, bug?" He asks

"Work." I simply state locking my door.

"Since when do you work?" He chuckles

"Since I'm living on my own and I don't want to sit on my ass all day. Plus it's just at a book store.

"Very well. Well enjoy your day little sis." He says ruffling my hair.

I yell after him but he just laughs and continues walking. Looking at my watch I realize that now I will be cutting it close if I run by Starbucks. Instead I'll just hit the coffee shop inside the book store. At work my manager walks me around showing me where everything is then teaches me how to use the cash register. She stays around to watch me with the first few customers the. She heads back to her office leaving me all alone. I continue to help customers as hey tickle in.

around eleven thirty things slow way down, so my manager sends me to lunch. She gave me an hour for lunch so I head to the chick fil a across the street. I walk up to the register and the girl looks at me like I have two heads. I give her a weird look and she breaks eye contact. Making sure to ask for extra chick file a sauce i make my way to a window booth.

Once back at work it seems everyone and there brother decided to come to the store. I was getting so overwhelmed that my manager had to come out and open the second register. After we have cleared out all the customers I take a deep breath and sit down on the little stool thanking y manager for her help. Taking out my phone I start scrolling through Facebook and get so caught up in it that I don't realize a customer is standing there until I hear someone clear their throat. Looking up I just stare in shock. Standing before me is Parker the ex boyfriend that I ghosted.

"Phoebe?" He says/asks shocked

"Parker." I reply.

"Since when do you work at a book store?"

"Since today." I say trying to get this over with as fast as possible.

"Oh..... can I ask you something?"

"You just did." I say rolling my eyes

"You know what I meant. Why did you stop replying to me." He asks

"Parker are you buying a book or not."

"Please just answer me. I have to know." He sighs

"If you really wanna know, it's because I was fucking scared of you!" I whisper yell

"I'm so sorry. I never meant to scare you. Would you go to dinner with me on Friday so we can talk."

"Parker......"

"Please pheobe just to talk."

"Fine, but I have to get back to work. I'm sure you still have my number so just text me."

Once Parker leaves I sigh rubbing my hands over my face. I'm so ready to head home but I have an hour left in my shift. I do my best to make the shift pass as quickly as possible. I'm cleaning up around the register when my manager comes out to tell me I'm done for today. Clocking out on the computer I grab my stuff and start my walk back to Escala. I decide to make some tacos as soon as I get home and while I am eating i get rudely interrupted by teddy walking through my front door.

" how the hell did you get in here!" I yell

" i have a key." He says like its no big deal

" why do you have a key to my apartment?" I ask with an attitude.

"Because i can." He states while grabbing himself some tacos.

" hey! That's my food. You cant just come barging in here and takin my food."

" calm down bug, i wont come by without asking first ever again." He chuckles

"Give me the key!" I say with my hand out.

After and intense staring contest teddy finally gives in and passes me his key. I am definitely going to be bringing this up to mom. I will also be making sure that my dad doesn't show up without calling me first. There is no way in hell I'd be able to get a key away from my dad.

Finishing up dinner i make teddy clean all my dishes since he so rudely barged in. I ask him if he'd like to stay and watch a movie but he declines saying he has a few things he needs to do. Curling up on my couch with a blanket i realize that a new episode of supernatural is coming on in about fifteen minutes. I turn it to the CW and get my self ready for whatever the writers decide to put us fan through this week.

Theodore's POV

Getting back up stairs to my place i am greeted my Martha my house keeper. She tells me that a young lady is here to see me and i know exactly who she is talking about. Walking into my living room i spot the beautiful brown eyed girl I'm hoping will agree to be my submissive. I have her follow me to my office so we can talk. She looks a little anxious and i cant tell if it because she knows what i want to talk about or if it is because of her realizing how wealthy i actually am.

Our conversation goes very smoothly. She does ask a lot of questions but i am fine with that. I can now tell that she has never done any of this before so i will definitely have to take things so and teach her the things she needs to know. Handing her the contract and a list of things to research i walk her to the elevator. We exchange our goodbyes and i head back to my office to finish up on some paper work that I needed to finish two days ago for work.

As you can tell Ana and Christian are getting back into the BDSM side of their relationship and Theodore has taken after his father and embraced the life style.
