(Hongki’s POV)
“I got to go, see you later” Jiyoung stood up and walked away. “Who is she?” Jieun asked. “none of your business” Damn! It came out wrong again. ”Sorry”
“Do you remember me from this morning?” she asked, this girl sure is talkative, I looked up at her. “No”
(Jieun’s POV)
He should have answered politely, because his attitude is annoying. “Yah!... Never mind, I’m leaving.” I stood up feeling irritated and walked away with Suzy following behind me.
(Hongki’s POV)
I got home and as opened the door, I found mum sitting in the living room waiting for me. “Hongki, you’re home, come take a seat.” I sat next to her on our sofa and waiting for the news that she was going to tell me.
“I know this is harsh, but our company is in a very bad state right now, so I need you to do me a big favour, please marry the daughter of a company we are partnered with.”
I was shocked, “please Hongki, please help me, your dad is not alive anymore and I’m being pressured by all the company work, I need help from the other companies, and the only way is the promise that your dad and the other company’s president made 7 years ago, when their children are grown up, they will marry each other, I know it’s harsh but please.” She continued.
“mum, I’ll think about it.”
“ok, I’ll give you some time, please tell me when you’ve made your decision”
I nodded. I went into my room and sat on my bed. The girl who I love will never love me back anyways so I might as well just get married then living a lonely life.
(Jieun’s POV)
“What? You want me to get married?”
“Yes Jieun, I know this is bad news for you, but it was a promise, and promises can’t be broken can they?” Dad said.
“But it’s my life…”
“We’re really sorry Jieun, we’ll give you some time to think, please make a good decision.”
“Can I at least meet this person first, and then think about it?”
“Yes, we’ve organised a date for you too next week, I’ve seen this person, he’s a nice guy” Dad said.
“I’ll make my decision when I know him first, right now I want to live like a normal teenager for the rest of the week.”
