Do you want to know a word that I really hate?
The word, 'almost.'
Because almost is, "so close yet. . .
So far."
Almost is a promise that was almost fulfilled.
It is the story of a love that was almost mutual.
A life that was almost saved.
A secret that was almost kept.
A hope that almost became a reality.
'Almost' is the world reminding us, "I love to destroy you in the most painful way."
'Almost' is the world saying, "I will break you until you beg for peace, and then I will almost grant you it. You will stretch your arms towards the hope, but you'll never be able to reach."
"almost."
And doesn't that hurt?
It's in your grasp, but you just can't reach.
Almost.
We almost made it, didn't we?
