Consuming You

Baby, I don't come with warning,

Driving you mad,

The way your shoulders are full of stress

With pressure to be this cad

Boy, you've got yourself into a mess.

Consuming you, consuming you, consuming you,

I can tell from the way you rip off my expensive dress

Tonight is not going to be full of that soft caress,

It is only your friend drink that allows you to give yourself to me,

It is only in the darkness of the night that fools you into believing you're going to break my heart,

No, no, no...that is one part of me your lustful eyes are never going to see,

Too smart to buy into something which has the power to make me fall apart.

Girls fawn over boys instead of books,

That aint me, that aint how this is going down,

I may be doing you but don't do the whole love affair,

If this was Titanic my heart would go on,

The locked key to my heart is the only thing I wear,

But for a flicker of a moment your kisses make me wonder if it's so wrong wanting to be conned.

Let me know your thoughts. I would also just like to say these poems aren't about anyone or me - they're just poems I've been inspired to write.
