Ember's POV:
"EMBER GET UP! It's your first day of freshman year you don't wanna be late!" After hearing my mom yell at me for about 15 minutes, the least I can do is get up. "I'm up mom. Gosh give me a minute!" I heard a small laugh meaning she heard me. I took a shower and put on my black ripped jeans, my crop top that said 'BET' on it, along with my mint green converse. I put my make up on and curled my red hair which has a white streak in it. My mom says that streak means I'm brave. I grabbed my bag and walked downstairs. My mom looked over at me. "Ember you look beautiful, but if you get in trouble for wearing that crop top you're grounded." I laughed and waved the comment. "Hey mom, can I walk to school today?" Before she could answer my older brother, Adrien, walks down the stairs. "Does whittle miss Ember Rae Salvatore wanna walk to school all by her lonesome?" He told me smirking. I scoffed and pushed him. "Nah Ad, how bout you go up to your room and get ready since it's your senior year?" Before he could answer I pushed him. "Go Ad! I may be little but I still boss you around." I smirked at him. He scoffed and started walking back upstairs. "Calm down little red. I'm going!" I laughed and grabbed my bag. "Bye mom! See ya later Adrien!" I walked outside and bumped into someone. "Oh I'm so so sorry. I wasn't watchi-". I couldn't finding my sentence as I looked up into beautiful brown eyes. "Hey are you new here?" "U-uu-hh yeah-h. I'm Ember Salvatore." He laughed at my stuttering. "I'm Hayes Jackson." He put his hand for me to shake. I hesitated before shaking his hand. He smiled at me. "So Ember you a freshman?" "Um yeah. My brother he's a senior. Adrien Salvatore, do you know him?" "That's your brother! He's one of the best players on the football team." "Yeah that's him..." I grabbed my glasses from my bag and put them on. He stopped and looked at me. "Are you gonna be doing any sports?" "I don't know... Maybe cheerleading. I probably won't make it..." "Hey never say never. Anyways here is the school. East Greene High School." He started walking ahead of me. "Com on Ember it's not that bad." I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. Here goes nothing. I walked in the school next to Hayes.
