Scott, Stiles, Lydia, and Malia were gone to college, leaving Liam, Hayden, Cory and Mason at Beacon Hills High School. Liam was the 'new alpha', but he just preferred 'Alpha in training.' The Senior in high school took a deep breathe as he looked at himself in the mirror, hoping that he looked at least somewhat decent.

"You look fine, Liam." The boy turned his head back, looking at his girlfriend Hayden. "Now come on, we gotta go get coffee before school." She held out her hand to him, her boyfriend gladly taking her hand in his as they walked down to the nearest coffee shop. The two ordered their coffees. As they stood around waiting for their drinks, Liam's nose scrunched up. Hayden looked at him, eyebrows raised as she questioned her boyfriend's actions.

"Don't you smell it? It smells like..." Liam's voice trailed as he tried to figure out what that smell was. Their coffee orders were called out, making Liam completely forget about the smell. The couple walked out of the shop, passing a brunette girl and blonde male as they walked out. The girl made eye contact with Liam, her eyebrows furrowing together. Liam didn't think anything of it, he just walked down to the school with his girlfriend.

The brunette and the blonde stood in the shortening line of people in the coffee shop, the two standing in silence. That is, until the blonde spoke up.

"What are you thinking about now, Scar?" 'Scar' is what people would call the girl, all because she didn't like being named after a color. Scar shrugged.

"Those two that just walked out... they smelled like us." The blonde rose an eyebrow at the girl. "Werewolves." She clarified.

Nodding, he leaned against the counter. "So you think their in Satomi's pack?" He asked. Their drinks were slid across the granite counter top, both of them grabbing their coffee. Scar shrugged as she took a sip of her black coffee.

"I don't know, but they were definitely werewolves." The two teens walked out of the shop and headed to their new high school: Beacon Hills High.

"Scar, do we really have to go to school? Why can't we just stay at the apartment and train or something? I mean, is rather do 200 sit ups instead of learning math or science." Lilly -a beta in Scar's pack- said as she fluffed her hair in her mirror. Scar rolled her eyes.

"We can't attract attention to ourselves here, Lilly." Scar sighed. "And it was either this school or Devenford Prep, and I know just how much you hate Brett Talbot." Scar had an evil grin on her lips, which only infuriated Lilly. Huffing, the beta shoved her stuff in her book bag and waited for her friend.

The girls walked out of the bathroom which they were standing in, only to be surrounded by the rest of their pack. Most of them were sophomores or juniors, but there were two freshman and boy were they nervous. One of the freshmen, Lucas who was Lilly's younger brother tapped his hand against his leg, a nervous tick the boy had developed over the years.

Scar looked at the beta, giving a small smile of reassurance. "Lucas, you'll be okay here. You have me, your sister, the other pack members, and Adam. Don't worry about anything, and if you need something you know what to do." Scar was a great Alpha, for still being quite new to all this, the pack felt as if she had been their alpha for more than two years. Lucas nodded, fastening his back pack on his shoulders and giving his alpha a smile.

The school bell rang, signaling their first class. They all nodded and looked at each other for a moment before separating and going different ways. Adam, Lilly, and Scar had almost the exact same schedule with the exception of their extra classes that they chose.

The trio of wolves walked down to their first class, gaining quite a few stares and whispers about themselves. Most of the hushed talk was about how 'hot Adam' was, or 'how cute the two new girls were'.  Of course, Scar ignored every singe one of the comments, but her two friends took pride in it, the self-esteem boosting. They walked into their History class, the few students that were in there turned their heads to catch a look at the newbies. They sat by one another, Scar in the middle of her two friends. Even though they were friends, Adam and Lily still knew that Scar was their alpha, and all they wanted to do was protect her.
