By the end of the day Scarlett and the rest of her pack were more than happy to leave the school. Most of the pack members were excited for school, new people, sports, and clubs, but Scarlett found it all to tiring.
Packing up her things, she was just about ready to leave when a cough made her stop her actions. Scar turned around, raising and eyebrow at Adam.
"What?" She asked, placing her hand on her hip. Adam laughed, shaking his head at her.
"Did you forget about tryouts? Lacrosse tryouts?" Adam said, pulling out his lacrosse ball. Scarlett's head tilted back. Adam chuckled. "So you did forget." Scarlett sent him a warning glare, slinging her back pack over her shoulder.
"Shut up, let's just get to the try outs." She groaned. Adam and Scarlett walked out of the classroom and headed towards their separate locker rooms. She was completely okay with changing in front of a whole bunch of dudes, but because laws and school rules she had to go to the girls locker room instead. Scarlett new she was the only girl trying out for this sport, only because Adam had talked her into it.
In the boy's locker room it was loud. Everyone was talking, laughing, and getting ready for the tryouts. As they were getting dressed, Coach Finnstock came into the locker room. He clapped his hands together, gathering everyone's attention.
"Alright, boys, today is the first day of tryouts. It may be the only day depending on how well you losers do. All spots are open since our beloved team captain is now off to college, so work hard and prove to me that you want that spot! Also, we do have a girl trying out this years as well, so please be careful with her. I don't want to get in trouble for her injuries." The boys were silent. "Get your asses out on the field!" Now they started cheering as they ran out of the locker room with their lacrosse sticks and headed to the field.
Scarlett was already out there, leaning on her stick and watching as the guys made their way across the field. Coach Finnstock seemed surprised that Scarlett was already out on the field, and not only that, he seemed to recognize her. The smell of all the hormonal boys made her gag on the inside. She will never get over that horrid smell.
Everyone clumped together, most of the boys staring at Scarlett. Coach blew his whistle to gather everyone's attention. The teens looked at Finnstock, waiting for him to start talking.
"Alright losers, we're going to do laps first. First one done won't have any homework in my class. Now go!" Everyone started off in a sprint, trying to gain distance between themselves and the other teens. Adam and Scarlett shared a glance, nodding at one another before going full speed.
Since Scarlett was an Alpha, she was faster than Adam, or any other member of their pack in general. With that, Scarlett was the first one done, not even feeling out of breathe when she finished. Finnstock was shocked, and surprised that a girl beat all the boys first. Adam finished after her, following with Liam, and two other boys who must have been his friends. Soon enough everyone else was done too, and panting as they tried to catch their breathe. Adam and Scarlett laughed softly at one another before stretching their arms.
"You all got beat, by a girl. How does that make you feel? All of you give me twenty!" Coach yelled. He turned to Scarlett. "Except for you, you're fine." Scarlett laughed, nodding. After the boys finished their push ups they were told to line up and get ready for some shots and the net. Coach told some kid named Corey to be goalie, so he put on his mask and pads, than grabbed his stick and stood in front of the net. Scarlett watched each of the boys throw the rubber white ball, some of them missing completely, others hitting it straight on. When it came to Scarlett's turn, she could hear the insults everyone was whispering about her.
