"You're brother is Scott McCall?" Hayden scoffed. "I don't think so." Hayden was playing a risky game insulting an Alpha. If there weren't so many kids in the library Scarlett would have made her feel sorry for disrespecting her like that. Instead, the girl quirked her eyebrow and her eyes changed from their natural color to that blood red. Hayden shrunk back into her chair, the eyes of an Alpha, a true Alpha, made her realize her mistake.

Liam closed his book and looked up at the werewolf in front of him. "What do you want to know?" Hayden gave her boyfriend a look that said 'what the fuck are you doing', but Liam simply ignored her. Scarlett reached out for a nearby chair, the object seemed to move closer to her hand without her even moving to go get it. She held the chair in her palm and then sat down at the edge of the library table. The group of teens looked at her, astonished at what they had just witnessed.
"Tell me everything."

For the next few hours Scarlett sat with Liam and his friends and listened to what they had to say about her mother and brother. It was a lot to listen to at first, but once she had gotten past the part of her father leaving Scott and Melissa it was easier to grasp what they were saying. They told her about how he bit Liam to save his life, and the same with Hayden. They went on telling her how he had saved the town dozens of times with his friends, his own pack. Scarlett couldn't help but smile when she heard that, and when she was told that he was off at college to become a veterinarian. They talked until finally they had to go home, which was around 6:30.

"Well, I definitely need to meet Scott." Scarlett said. "It'd be great to actually talk to my brother."

Liam nodded as he packed up his things. "I can introduce you to Melissa some time if you'd like. She's almost always working now that Scott is away at college." Scarlett nodded in agreement. The two teens walked out to their vehicles in silence. The school was just about empty now that it was getting so late, leaving them and nature as the only things anyone could hear.

Scarlett thanked Liam for talking to her about her family and then went to her car. She reached for the handle but an arrow came flying by her face and made her stop her actions. The Alpha twisted around, her eyes turning red so she could see who tried to hit her more clearly. Liam heard the shatter of her window as well which made him twist and look at Scarlett. Scarlett's blood red eyes followed the large van that was now speeding away from the school, but not before shoot off another arrow at Y/N. This time the arrow was headed straight for her chest, but the girl caught it before it hit her chest. Liam watched from where he stood, eyes wide and mouth hanging open. He just witnessed an Alpha being attacked by hunters, and watched as this Alpha didn't even flinch as she caught a live arrow.

The Alpha growled lowly as she snapped the arrow in her palm. She swiped the glass away from her car before getting into the drivers seat and starting up the car. Her head swiveled in the direction of where Liam was. "Tell your friends that hunters are in town, okay?" Scarlett began to pull out of the school parking lot as she left the Beta wolf alone and confused.

"They know we're here." Were the first words Scarlett said as she walked into the apartment building her and her pack were residing in. Everyone's heads swiveled in her direction, eyes wide.

Adam was the first one to stand up and walk towards her. "How? What happened? Are you okay?" Scarlett shrugged him off.

"They shot an arrow at my car, broke out the window." Scarlett was very angry. She just wanted to live peacefully with her pack, but she knew that would never happen. Scarlett's temper tended to get the best of her most of the time, it was something she always tried to control it, even with the help of the past Alpha, but even he couldn't get her to control it.

Scarlett was already pacing back and forth, hands running through her hair aggressively. "I need you to call that friend of yours that lives here, tell him I need to talk to him." Scarlett said, she was reaching for another set of car keys that belonged to a different vehicle.

"Where are you going?" Lucas had come out from one of the rooms, his sister followed behind him. They couldn't know about what was going on, they thought they were safe.

Scarlett sighed, "I'm going to talk to someone about my mother, I'll be back soon okay?" Her eyes glanced at Lily, and she nodded knowing what was actually going to happen. She guided her brother back into his room, shutting the door behind them.

"You're not actually going to talk to someone about her, are you?" Adam asked, his arms crossed as he leaned against the door.

"No," Scarlett shook her head, "I'm going to find out where these sons of bitches are."
