Chapter 15

Alec

At precisely 6:15 I woke up. I looked at Magnus who was still fast asleep and sighed, I really didnt want to leave. I knew I had to come out soon but I just didn't know how. Before I decided not to do it, I got up and began putting my shoes and jacket on. I quickly scribbled down a note to Magnus saying that I left and would text him later and ran out the door. After about 5 minutes I got in a cab and reached the institute in less than 15 minutes. As slowly and quietly as I could, I opened the door and slipped inside. Much to my luck Jace stepped out of the elevator as I shut the door. I silently sighed and made my way over to him.

"Where were you all night? I went to your room so we could train and you werent there." He said, suspision and concern clear in his eyes. What was the point in lying to him? He already knew about Magnus and I.. I felt my face turn red, and watched his eyes widen. "Were you with.... the sparkly guy again?" He asked. I felt my blush deepened so I looked down at the floor and nodded. He knew not to push too far so he just nodded and left. God I hope he doesn't tell anyone. I stepped into the elevator and began hoping I could make it to my room without running into anyone else. Luckily, I did. As I stepped into my room I began to strip off my clothes and change into training gear. Stepping back out into the corridor I saw Izzy running towards me.

"ALEC! ALEC! YOU'RE HOME! THANK GOD I THOUGHT YOU WERE HURT!!" She screeched in a childlike tone. When she finally reached for me and pulled me into a hug. After a moment she pulled away and wiped some tears out of her eyes. She placed a smile on her face and raised an eyebrow. I began to monder if Jace had told her. If he did, that boy is dead.

"Where were you last night? I mean, you dont LOOK like you were hurt in any way..." I rolled my eyes at her statement.

"I was out." I told her.

"Where?" She asked, the worry completely out of her voive. She now sounded adgetated. I sighed and remembered the time I told her I thought I liked Magnus. I remembered the support she gave me. The care and the sympathy in her voice.

"Magnus..." I mumbled. She began to smile and pulled me into another hug.

She pulled back and looked at me curiously. " Are you guys like.... together now?" She asked.

"I...... I really dont know." I told her and started back on my way to the training room. Isabelle yelled after me a few times but I just kept going. I didn't want to continue that conversation, nor did I want to think about it.
