The train, after about five hours, finally slowed to a stop. The small group in Elizabeth's compartment stopped their chatting and they all beamed.

"Finally, we can," George began,

"Get off this train," Elizabeth continued,

"And get something to eat." Fred finished. Lee and Angelina exchanged glances, but over the past few hours, they had actually gotten quite used to the three finishing each others' sentences. They all grabbed their trunks and exited the train and looked around, not knowing where to go. Suddenly, a booming voice was heard above everyone, "First years, over here!" A large man loomed over the first years who had begun to gather, "I'm Hagrid, the groundskeeper here at Hogwarts, now follow me to the carriages." He led them all over to the carriages and smiled  as one by one the students began to climb in. George and Fred hopped up into the carriage and smirked  down at Elizabeth who was struggling to get up into the carriage since she was so short. Soon enough, Hagrid noticed and gave Elizabeth a boost up into the carriage where everyone was now waiting for her.

"Up you go, shortcakes." He barked kindly.

Elizabeth nodded and turned bright red, which seemed even brighter in contrast to her brown hair. The twins burst into laughter which caused Lee and Angelina to laugh.

"Shortcakes!!!" Fred gasped out.

"Oh shut up," Elizabeth muttered, crossing her hands. "You're never going to let me live that nickname down, are you?'

"Never." the twins replied beaming at her as the carriage took off. Elizabeth looked about her at the evening sky and smiled as she noticed the first stars of the night sky. Soon, the carriages stopped in front of amgnificent castle. Elizabeth's jaw dropped. "Dad said it would be big, but not this big!!" She stared at Hogwarts enormity and beauty. It had many tall towers that seemed to stretch for miles, and the front entry gate was so large, a giant could walk through wiout coming close to touching the top. Even the twins, who usually had a remark for everything, were at a loss of words.

"Come on, come on now! We're all waiting! Grab your trunks and follow me!" Hagrid's voice thumped right next to Elizabeth's ear. She jumped out of the carriage with her trunk crashing onto the ground behind her and Edge and his cage in another hand. "When we get inside, simply leave your trunks and animals against the wall, Filch, the caretaker, and his cat, Miss Norris, will see to your things." Hagrid pointed to a scraggly man and his cat. The Angelina, Lee, Elizabeth, and the twins immediately wrinkled their noses at the man.

"I bet he'll despise us," Fred whispered.

"Yeah, the man looks extremely nice and sympathetic," George said sarcastically.

Elizabeth snorted, "Might as well go ahead and sign our names on his bad list. I predict some detentions in our future." She hissed back as they entered the main hall. The room itself was a person, it seem as though it echoed every single word being said as friends greeted each other and new gossip was spread amongst students. The first years were soon ushered to the front of the room where a giant chair stood, with a giant hat placed on top.

"The sorting hat," Angelina gasped.

Dumbledore got up and began to talk, "Welcome back old students, and welcome, new students." he began. Elizabeth didn't hear much after that for she was too busy looking around the great hall and listening to Fred and George's remarks. Before long, the sorting began.

"Hufflepuff!" cried the Hat and the Hufflepuff House table hooted and hollered.

"Slytherin!" The Slytherin table erruted into applause. And so each student got sorted into either the Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, Slytherin, or Gryffindor Houses. Soon it got to be George's turn.

"See you in the same house, mate!" Fred whispered confidentally to George. George nodded and quickly sat down in the chair and the Sorting Hat was placed on his head.

"Hm. I see. There are two of you. George and Fred. Haha! Tricksters, the both of you! GRYFFINDOR!" The Hat bellowed and the Griffyndor table errupted into applause, even a few devilish seventh terms hooted and whistled. George went and sat down at the table and Fred walked over and sat down.

"Didn't I already sort you, boy??" The Hat yelled.

"No, I'm Fred. You just sorted George." Fred said, trying not to laugh.

The Hat didn't even have to think. "SAME PLACE, BOY!! GRYFFINDOR!!" Fred laughed and headed to the Gryffindor table where he recieved the same greetings as George had. Finally, Elizabeth stepped up and sat down and the Hat was placed on her head. The Hat remained silent.

Then, it suddenly muttered, "This is getting repetitive. Are there SERIOUSLY THREE WEASLEYS TO BE SORTED!!!!!!????" The Hat seemed almost exasperated.

"No, actually, I'm not related to the twins. I'm just their friend!"

The Hat snorted and said, "We all know where she's going. Gryffindor! Three in a row!!"George and Fred hopped up and the Gryffindor House had the three of them.

"The hat's been seeing triple, it seemed!" A boy a few years older than them said while the sorting carried on. "I'm Oliver Wood." The twins and Elizabeth grinned and turned back to the sorting. Finally, Angelina and Lee joined them at the Gryffindor table and recieved the same greeting.

"Thank you students! The Sorting has finished, and now it os time to feast!" Dumbledore's voice echoed throughout the room. Magically, food appeared on the table, foods of all kinds that were all healthy and delicious. Once everyone had eaten their fill, the Head Boy/ Girl of each House and their prefects took everyone to the common room. At the Gryffindor entrance to the common room, the Head Boy explained to the Griffyindors what the password was and introduced the first terms to the Fat Lady and the Gryffindor ghost, "Nearly Headless Nick." He also explained to everyone who their Head of House was, Professor McGonagall. Finally the students went into the common room. The Gryffindor common room was red colored, with extremely comfortable armchairs, and a few couches as well as a couple desks. There was a fire going in the fireplace which illuminated the two stairs to the girls' dormitories, and the two stairs to the boys dormitories. The Head Boy also finally explained that the boys were not allowed to get into the girls dorms because a spell was in the stairs refusing the boys entrance. Angelina and Elizabeth went upstairs to their dorms and found their trunks beside their bed along with their owls' empty cages with a note saying where their owls would be living.

"This is grand," Angelina whispered as they were soon falling asleep after having changed into their gowns and having put away their clothes.

"It is. It really, truely is." Elizabeth said as she faded into sleep, her head resting n the softest pillow she had ever felt.
