Elizabeth woke up and raced down the stairs into the living room. It was Christmas! She saw all of the presents from her friends and father. One from Angelina, two from George and Fred, one from Mrs. Weasley, and even one from Lee. She saw one wrapped in a gorgeous wrapping paper than sparkled and changed color every time she looked at it.

Suddenly, someone picked her up and twirled her around the room while she shrieked with laughter. "Put me down, Daddy!" She shrieked and her Father set her down.

"Merry Christmas, pumpkin." He said kissing the top of her head. He handed her the gifts and she unwrapped each and everyone. Lee had gotten her some Bertie's Every Flavor Beans, Angelina had gotten her a pretty songbird necklace that shimmered in the light. Fred had gotten her a couple pairs of Extendable Ears, and George had gotten her a picture frame with a bunch of goofy pictures of the trio doing silly things. She grinned as she looked at each of the the pictures. She looked up at her dad who handed her the beautifully wrapped box she had noticed earlier. She tore into it and took out a small box. She opened it and as soon as she opened it, a soft, beautiful voice sang out of it. Elizabeth listened to the song and turned to look at her father.

"This is... beautiful! Who sang that?" Liz asked.

"That was a song your mother sang every night while she was pregnant with you. She always wanted you to remember it, so she captured the song and put it into the box. Now every time you open the box, you'll think of her." He smiled and kissed the top of her head. "I have one more thing. I didn't wrap it because I wanted it to always remind you of me, and I want you to know that I'll always love you, and by taking this, I know that you'll always love me." He took off an ancient, velvet ring and slipped it on her index finger. At first it was too big, but it began to shrink, and fit perfectly on her finger.

Elizabeth looked up from the ring with tears in her eyes, "I'll always love you, Daddy. No matter what."

Her father smiled down at her, but his smile seemed sad. Liz shook it off and grinned back up at him, wishing that that moment would last forever, but of course, all things must come to an end,

 Don't they?
