Liz's POV (Point of View)

I trudged into the Common Room right after finishing my three hour long punishment with Filch. I dumped my books into a chair and went over and sat between Fred and George.

"One day, I swear I'm going to end up dead. Or scrubbing the entire castle top to bottom with a toothbrush." I said, grabbing a biscuit Fred had saved for me from dinner. After all, I had been forced to skip dinner to do detention.

"Eh, we're already going to do that next week, I bet." George said, grinning stupidly. Fred nodded his head eagerly.

"I still can't believe Filch made you organize all of his study! How did you finish so quickly without magic?" Angelina demanded, walking over and sitting in a nearby armchair. I smirked in her direction. "No! You used magic? Liz!" She nearly fell off of her chair.

"Oi! Ease up, Ange! He didn't notice!" I grinned remembering how I had done several flicks of my wand while Filch had been preoccupied with some letter of his. Suddenly, I remembered. "Oh yeah, Here you boys go. I snatched this from Filch's office. He had taken a bunch of your firecrackers." I handed them each three tiny balls of fire crackers and the boys grinned at me.

"Brilliant!" They echoed, pocketing their favorite experiment.

The twins hugged me, and I sighed. These were my two best friends, and having them both there was fabulous. I thought back to when we had snatched the Marauder's Map and laughed, "It seems that we do a lot of snatching from Filch's office. It's just too easy!" I said, shaking my head.

"What's too easy?" A husky voice sid into my ear.

"Oliver! Madame Pomfrey let you go!?" I asked, getting up and hugging my boyfriend. I could feel the twin's eyes boring into my back. When, I finally let go Oliver smirked at me.

"Someone got worried!" He said, sitting onto an armchair, draping his legs nonchalantly onto the coffee table. I shook my head and rolled my eyes.

"You may be an amazing Quidditch player, but ego much?" I said, sitting back down next to the twins.

George mumbled under his breath, "Yep. Large one." I rewarded his comment with a smack and he glared at me, "You weren't supposed to hear that, Pure." I rolled my eyes and Fred choked, unable to contain his laughter any longer. I rubbed my eyes, ignoring his laughter and stood up.

"Well, if you all are going to continue your lovely chatter, as much as I want to stay, I am literally about to pass out." I said, my vision a bit blurry from exhaustion.

"Well, make sure you pass out in your own bed so that no one has to escort you to Madame Pomfrey's late at night. She won't be the happiest woman alive." called a sixth year at the back of the room. I acknowledged the voice and trooped up the stairs to my bed and crashed.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I raced down the stairs, Weasley boys in tow, along with a few Gryffindor students who had stayed at Hogwarts for Christmas. From the top of the stairs to the bottom I heard shouts of, "Merry Christmas!" and "Morning!". Things had never been like this at home. I hadn't had a Christmas in two years. I grinned as everyone gathered in the common room, everyone together. We all passed out our presents and tore into them, admiring the special clothes or presents. I grinned as I opened a package from Mrs. Weasley. It was a white sweater, very soft and pretty with a gold L in the middle. She had hand made the entire family a sweater, including Harry and I. I smiled as I unwrapped the present George and Fred had gotten for me and laughed when a gorgeous kitten popped out.

"Oh my goodness! Guys! It's adorable! How on earth did you afford...?" I trailed off as the kitten pounced playfully onto my arm. "Aw..." I cooed.

"That's Rose. We took the liberty of naming her after she pounced onto Fred's arm." George said, grinning.

"Yeah, she may be adorable, but she's got razor sharp claws." Fred said.

"Well, thank you," I said, hugging them. The tiny kitten in my hands purred and her vibrations rumbled throughout my entire body. I grinned as she quickly fell asleep, her fluffy fur brushing against my skin. I set her down onto a pillow and let her continue to sleep as I handed the twins their presents.

They tore into them and grinned as they saw each of the tricks from Zonko's Joke Shop along with a few chocolate frogs and Bertie's Every Flavor Beans. They hugged me and winked as if to say, "Pranks on us." I shook my head, laughing. I turned to Angelina who was opening her gift from me. She squealed when she saw the picture of the two of us and her celebrity crush, the Keeper for the Quidditch team Puddlemere United.

"Oh, Liz! I love it!" She hugged me and I smiled. I caught George staring at me, but he quickly glanced away, blushing.

Suddenly, an owl swooped with a package and a letter for me. It was Oliver's owl. I smiled and took the letter and package out of its claws and handed it a biscuit from the Christmas cookie platter the Elves from in the kitchen supplied to Gryffindor, and only Gryffindor at Christmas because we, for some reason, were their favorites.

I opened the letter and read the details inside:

Dear Elizabeth,

Hello, love! I hope this letter finds you in good spirits. I'm missing you quite a bit. I've told my Mum all about you, and she's been dying to meet you. She says to tell you hello! Anyways, Merry Christmas to the most beautiful, amazing girl in the entire world. I hope you like my present as much I like mine. (How did you know my favorite type of broom was a Nimbus 2000? Mum says I'm daft for writing that, but whatever.) I miss you, Liz, and I can't wait to see you soon!

Love,

    Oliver

As I finished the letter, I felt like love butterflies flitting around in my stomach. I smiled at the letter and looked up to see everyone staring at me.

"What?" I demanded.

"Well? Are you going to tell us who it's from?" asked Fred.

"No need, Fred. With that expression on her face, it has to be Oliver." sighed George.

"Well, open it, then!" Angelina said, nodding towards the little box in my hands.

I unwrapped it so that the wrapping looked almost untouched, and the bow stayed intact. I opened the lid and gasped. In the little box laid a little heart shaped necklace with our initials engraved in it. It was beautiful.

"It's..." I started, but stopped at a loss for words.

"Gorgeous," Angelina gasped, when she saw it. I took it out and put it on. It dangled a few inches away from my neck. The necklace caught the gleam of the fire and sparkled in the light, and I sat there, probably grinning like an idiot.

"Wow." Fred admitted.

There I was, Elizabeth Grace Pure, the happiest I had been in years.
