One by one, we left the Room of Requirement, until only Fred, George, and I were left. We grinned and high fived each other.
"That was fun, good job tricking everyone, Fred," I said, nodding to his inside out shirt and mine. We had pulled a prank on everyone, but Oliver hadn't thought it to be so funny, but he found out.
"Yeah," he said as we left the RR. I glanced down at the Marauder's Map, but it was too late.
"What on Earth are you three doing out of bed?" All of the Professors were in a cluster, right next to us. I grimaced.
"We heard something, and went to check it out?" I offered, trying to make it sound like less than a question.
"Yep!" The twins chimed.
"Dreadfully awful racket," Fred began.
"We couldn't sleep a wink," George finished.
"Well, you wouldn't be the only ones, now go! Off to bed, the three of you." McGonagall said, obviously flustered and deeply concerned. The Professors filed past us until only Dumbledore was left.
"The Sorcerer's Stone has just been destroyed. Harry and Ron and Hermione are alright, but Harry will be in the hospital." He said simply, walking off.
The three of us stared after him and then glanced at each other unsure of how to react.
"Isn't that something that makes you immortal?" I demanded, looking at the two of them. They shrugged and we headed up to the common room where everyone else was waiting.
"What took you so long?" asked Lee.
"We got stopped, but something's going on, so I don't know really why we didn't get in trouble." I shrugged and the twins nodded.
Oliver looked relieved and grinned at me, shaking his head. I blushed remembering our two closet times during the game.
"Liz?" asked Fred. "Don't you agree?"
"Oh, um, sorry, I didn't catch that," I said, raising an eyebrow.
"Well, I mean something's u-" He was distracted by Hermione and Ron entering the room.
"We heard!"
"I can't believe-" people were all saying, trying to keep our voices low.
I shook my head and made my way towards Oliver, a sleepy smile etched across my face.
"I'm heading to bed," I said, my head swimming with thoughts and exhaustion. Oliver kissed be gently, his warm hands snaking around my waist.
"Night, Liz." he said quietly, and I trudged up the stairs away from the clamor below.

"I can't believe Gryffindor beat us, Father! It was only those stupid last points!" Draco whined to Uncle Lucius as we were heading home from Kings Cross Station.
"Now, now, Draco, you'll do better in the future and beat your unlovable cousin, right?" His malicious words bounced back to me, stuffed in the far back of the car. I wrinkled my nose at the insufferable heat and unbreathable air filled me.
"Of course," Draco said.
"Good, good. Now, Elizabeth. You're going to take Draco's things and put them into his room, then you are going to help the house elves with everything we order you to do, is that understood?" Uncle Lucius hissed, his glittering eyes staring into mine evilly. I got the chills and nodded slowly.
I knew, I just knew that it would be like this all summer.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Only a couple of weeks left until Hogwarts!" I whispered to myself. I couldn't wait. Finally, my dreadful cousin and aunt and uncle would be gone. I shoved the rest of my simple belongings into my trunk, ready to leave a seconds notice. When I turned back around, I saw Edge staring at me. He hooted, obviously unhappy at not being let out of his cage for a while.
"I'm sorry, Edge. I can't let you out, they only let Rose walk around simply because Aunt Narcissa loves Rose." I said, resting my elbows on his cage. I smiled sadly and turned away, latching her trunk up. I scooped up Rose, who was sniffing the air for food and put her into her cage. Rose mewled in protest, but I ignored her cries.
Looking into my tiny mirror, I saw my face and frowned. It had a few bruises and scratches on it from where I had been hit by Lucius. I shuddered in anger. I hated that man. He was the definition of evil. I grinned, "I bet the definition of evil is Lucius Malfoy." I shook my head, "And the definition of insane is Elizabeth Pure. I'm talking to myself. Ugh." And at that, I shut up.
I turned the lights off and went to my window that overlooked the beautiful grounds of the Malfoy Manor. The moonlight cascaded down, hitting the water, making it glisten. I strained my ears to hear the hoot of rogue owls, and the calls of tiny animals rushing under the brush. Everything out there was perfect. Everything. Every night, I sat on the windowsill and stared out into the forest, waiting. For what, I had no clue. I sighed and rested my head on my knees and watched the green forest sway in the wind. The trees danced, their green leaves humming a song that calmed me. This is how I survived. This is what comforted me.
I looked up and saw what I thought to be a shooting star, but the light was coming towards me. I jumped up and stared. It was a flying car. There were four figures in the car. Fred, George, Ron and Harry. Wait. Harry? I did a double take and stared as they pulled up alongside my window. Quickly and quietly I pulled open my window.
"Have everything?" whispered Fred.
"Yes. Are you here to rescue me?" I asked, grabbing my trunk.
They all nodded as George popped the trunk. Harry's was already in there, so I shoved mine in with great difficulty. They turned the car and I handed them Edge's cage and Rose's cage, I grabbed my wand, took one last look around and jumped into the car and we were off.
"You know you'll get into loads of trouble if your Mum finds out." I said.
"I already reminded them," Harry whispered.
"We know," the twins said, grinning.
"Why were you up? We thought we would have to shake you awake or something," Ron said. I rolled my eyes, glad that none of them could see my face.
I grinned, "Just because there are rules in that house, doesn't mean that they're meant to be followed."
We all laughed. Man, it felt good to be with my friends again.
