Chapter 24

"Damien I think we should be fine with hand-to-hand combat it is being warmed up that I fear the most."

"Why is that?"

"Well because if you aren't warmed up then you won't be able to perform to the best of your ability. Or at least that is what I think."

"Yeah I guess you are right. Well then we should do about 20 sit ups to start I guess."

"Ok." I lay on my back with the grass poking my in my skin that was showing. I start to go up and down for the sit ups when I see Damien looking at his watch.

"Hey, Raven we should head back to where the matches are going to be held because if we don't then we might never be able to make it to fight in the matches."

"Alright." I sit up and I start to get up and I see Damien holding out his hand to me. I grab it and he pulls me up. We make our way back quickly and quietly. As we are crossing the area where we have to jump I see Beefy walking by. I quickly grab Damien and we start walking like we were always there. Beefy doesn't say anything he just keeps walking like what we are doing. Once we see the opening of the forest we see tons and tons of people waiting on bleachers and then some in line at a small white table then others behind the table sitting down under tents. There was at least 2-5 people under a tent. Making it look like they were all on a team. When we walk into line Beefy walks into line behind us.

"Hey, goth girl and wimpy boy. Who is your trainer that you are going under?"

"Trainer?"

"Yes, didn't you know goth girl that in order to participate you are going to need a trainer to fight. That is the rules I'm not making them up. Wait....wimpy boy didn't tell you that you need a trainer in order to participate?"

"Beefy like I would believe you when you yourself don't have a trainer."

"Oh I have a trainer alright." He points to the meanest looking team. "That's my team and trainer." I look at Damien. He doesn't look me in the eyes.

"Damien what are we going to do? We don't have a trainer, we don't have a team."

"Raven, calm down I got this. You don't have to worry about it." The people that are in front of us move out of the line. It is now our turn. Damien walks up.

"Damien I see you want to participate again. Whats up I thought you were powerless...Is that a girl that I see Damien? I thought females don't have powers."

"Oh her? Well she is the person that I was training."

"Her?...Well ok what is her name?"

"I can do this myself Damien. My name is Raven Gothichive."

"Ok, what is your power?"

"Um...assassin."

"Assassin? There is no such thing as an assassin power there is strength, speed, etc. There is no power that is titled assassin in my document of powers."

"There is Sam if you only look at the combine power list."

"Oh...that list."

"Yes, that is the list that I am talking about."

"And why would her power be on....oh you're related to her."

"Who do you mean Sam by her?"

"She is related to Althea Gothichive and also her father was a captive here, Sebastian Gothichive. Sebastian the murderer that killed many people..."

"And the guy who almost killed me." I finish his sentence.

"He almost killed you?"

"Yes, he did if my sister wasn't there then I would have either bleed to death or had lost the ability to move my whole left side."

"Well enough of that Sam. Can we get going?"

"Yes, yes you are going to be in the singles matches Raven. And you are going to be in tent 57 on the left, first one."

"Ok." We get out of line finally and we head to the first tent on the right.

"You know Raven we might be here for a while, right?"

"Yeah I know."

"I was just saying if you want to practice a little or something."

"No, I should be good." A few minutes later someone announces the matches.

"Hello, hello everyone! Today we have people who are new and people who you may know! Today we are fighting singles and we have very interesting new people or should I say new person. Her name is Raven. And yes, it is the only woman that is fighting today! She might seem pretty weak being a woman and all but, don't underestimate her! So, today we are fighting for the first match is Adam from Muscles vs. Aiden from P.I.E." Beefy walks out once they say Adam. So, his name is Adam. he definitely doesn't look like a Adam. But, the other guy Aiden looks like a baby compared to Adam. Aiden was probably a newbie from however long ago. Adam walks into a corner that has a red square. And then Aiden walks to the other side to a blue square. The guy on the intercom says that there is no weapons like guns and also knives allowed to fight. He then begins to count down. As he does Aiden opens a book that I didn't see him have. He was shaking like crazy but, when the announcer said go a wall of pure ice barricades beefy in the square. I look confused. Damien answers my question.
