Josh's POV
"Where are we?"
I opened my eyes which were drooping from the amount of exhaustion I had in me. I was in a dark room that was lit by a single big light bulb above me. I was strapped down in a chair unable to move. In fact, I was so tired that I couldn't even move if I wanted to.
I sat there motionless. I knew they were going to be experimenting on me again. I hated it. I didn't like it. They only did it because I was different than the rest of everyone here. If I was like them, I would only be locked up in a cell rather than being in this experimental room. I just didn't know what they would be trying on me this time.
Two guards walked into the room and shut the door behind me. They approached the chair I was strapped into.
"So Dun, we're gonna try out something new the big guys have been working on in the lab." the dark haired one said.
"Yeah yeah, don't worry. This one is actually painless." the blonde haired guard said.
I sneered at them. "You always say that. Then the next thing I know, I'm on the floor crying in pain. You guys are a bunch of lies."
They laughed. "No but just wait and see what we have here."
They pulled out a red box and opened it to reveal some sort of gun.
"You're gonna shoot me with that gun aren't you? I knew you were lying. You both are gonna kill me." I said weakly.
The dark haired guard shook his head. "No, let us explain what this is." He pulled it out. "This is a memory eraser gun. It allows someone to erase any type of memories. All you have to do is type in what type of memories you want to forget and the beam from the gun will erase those memories from your head! At least, that's what we hope it'll do. You are our first test subject."
I scoffed. "What makes you fellas think that's a good idea? Isn't that damaging to the brain?"
"We'll just have to find out. Come on Dun. Everyone has something they want to forget. Maybe a bad hair day or a friend-zoned moment or even accidentally saying hi to someone you thought was saying hi to you. Don't you have something you wanna forget?"
I shook my head. "No, not exactly."
The blonde guard sighed. "I'll tell you what. I'll let you do the honor and choose what type of memory you want erased from your mind. If not, I'll have to pick it and it won't be pretty. C'mon Dun, think of something."
I sat there thinking of something I wanted to forget. Honestly, there wasn't anything in particular that I wanted to forget about. Maybe I wanted to forget about the last ten years I spent in this hell-hole. Maybe.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Spooky Jim appear. He didn't look happy.
Hey Josh, I know this is bad timing but I don't think Tyler is coming for you. My senses don't feel him anymore. I'm sorry Josh. I thought he was coming for you. I think he's forgotten about you. I'm sorry.
I heard something after that. More like felt it.
I could feel my heart shatter into a million pieces.
Tyler forgot about me. I knew he did. They always do. I'm never getting out of this place.
"Well Dun, do you know what you want to erase for good?" the blonde guard asked.
I sighed. "Yes. Tyler Joseph."
The dark haired guard gasped. "Wait, woah. Really? Dun, that's like your most valuable treasure though. Erasing him would be devastating."
"The fact that he forgot about me is more devastating than forgetting him. I made up my mind."
The guards sighed. "Well, Tyler Joseph it is." He got the gun and began typing his name into it.
Tyler Robert Joseph
"Are you sure." the guard asked once again.
"Yes. Definitely. Absolutely." I told them.
They sighed. I closed my eyes. I could hear whirring coming from the gun as they began to pull the trigger on me.
You forgot all about me Tyler. It's time I forgot you. I'm sor-
Tyler's POV
I ran through the prison hallways away from the explosion. Most of the prisoners were let loose. Good. That was part of the plan that Blurryface had come up with.
I ducked and hid behind every corner that a guard would run past. Blurryface knew where Josh was being held. He ran in front of me and I followed behind him.
We're getting close to him. Yes yes, this is good. I'm coming for you.
"We're coming for Josh. Plural." I told him.
Mm. I meant to say that.
We continued running until Blurry stopped at the end of a hallway. He slowly walked up to the door that was at the end of it. He put his dark hands firmly on the door.
Yes. I can feel him. He is in this room Tyler. Oh what joy is this about to bring me!
I looked at him puzzled. "Why are you more excited to see Josh than I am? What are you planning?"
His red glowing eyes met mine. Nothing Tyler don't worry about it. We had a deal right? I'm helping you out. I have no tricks up my sleeves this time.
He smiled at me as if trying to gain my trust. Working with the one thing that almost made me want to kill myself was very sketchy and dangerous. I wanted to believe him. We've come this far so what's the worse he could be planning?
He stepped aside and motioned for me to enter.
Come. Step inside. He will be in there. Trust me.
I slowly walked up to the door and took a deep breathe. "Well here goes nothing."
I opened the door and made sure there weren't any guards behind me before I did. I stepped inside and shut the door quietly behind me. I also double locked it just in case someone were to try and come in.
The room was dark with a singular giant light bulb. Underneath it was a big chair. I saw someone was sitting in it, facing away from me.
I took quiet steps towards this person.
As I turned around the chair, I spotted a familiar shade of faded out red hair.
It was my Joshua.
