Tyler's POV
Josh looked in slight confusion and anger as Blurry appeared in front of us.
"What is he doing here? I thought I defeated him long ago." he asked me.
"No no calm down Josh. I actually summoned him to come help me rescue you. I know it sounds insane but I mean he did lead me to you so."
Josh put his hand on his face. "Tyler you do realize you were working with your doubt and insecurities right? Are you insane?"
I sighed. "Insane but I went crazy for you."
Blurry laughed.
It's true Joshua. Tyler went insane for you but I was behind it all. I kept my word...
Josh still looked a bit confused. "Wait how did you get past all the guards?"
Blurry stepped forward.
It was pretty easy. Once we got into the prison cell, I took control of Tyler. Using my powers, I easily passed through the bars like a ghost, you know? When I did encounter guards, I had to resort to killing them very quickly. Eventually we came to a supply room that had kerosene and other flammable fluids and items. We spread them across different parts of the prison and then we set them on fire. In minutes, everything was exploding and all the prisoners were set loose. This prompted the guards to try and control the situation. We took advantage of this distraction and came to you. It was simple really.
Josh stared in awe. "...Wow."
I gave a nervous chuckle. "Yeah, well I did it for you. To get you out of this stupid place."
Josh smiled weakly. "You've been through so much. You even got yourself some tattoos. That's sick Tyjo."
"Tyjo, now that's something I really haven't heard for a long time now." I chuckled.
Josh chuckled as well and we kind of stared at each other for awhile until Blurry interrupted us.
Ahem. Yes, yes, you two have met again. You both love each other, you're both in love. You're both happy. You're both...together.
Blurry looked distraught all of a sudden and he walked over to the chair where Josh sat before and sat there looking at the ground. He had his hand over his head.
I walked over to him. "Blurry, what's wrong? This isn't like you."
He sighed. No no. Everything is...fine. Yes. It's...okay.
He started to aggressively flicker. Josh came rushing over.
"Woah dude, what's going on with you? This better not be another scheme. I got enough power to put you to sleep if you try anything sneaky." he warned him.
Everything's fine. It's just- He looked up at Josh. Joshua, you don't feel sad do you? Like even a little bit remotely sad at the moment? At all?
Josh shook his head. "No everything is fine. Why would I want to be sad?"
Blurry looked down and whispered to himself.
No...you're supposed to be sad. This is not what I had planned... You...
He was about to cry but clenched his fists. In anger, he snapped his fingers and he disappeared.
"WAIT NO! BLURRY WE NEED YOU TO GET OUT!" I yelled but it was too late. Blurry had disappeared. We were left in confusion.
"Tyler, why does Blurry want me sad? Why would that be of any relevance right now?" Josh asked me.
I looked at Josh. "I-I don't know. He obviously wants something else. I just don't know why your sadness has anything to do with it."
Josh crossed his arms. "I don't trust him Tyler. Sure he brought you to me again but something smells fishy."
I shrugged. "Well he's gone for now." I looked around the room and spotted something shiny. "Hey what's this?" I picked up a gun of some sort.
"NO BE CAREFUL!" Josh yelled and it startled me. I dropped the gun to the floor. Surprisingly, it didn't go off or break.
"Sorry for yelling. That's a memory eraser gun Tyler. The guards were going to experiment on me with it." he told me.
"Wait, what? They erased your memories?! What did they erase?!" I asked him.
Josh shook his head. "No no they didn't erase my memories. Just as they were about to pull the trigger, the explosion you caused startled the guards and they set the gun down and ran out to see what was happening. They didn't erase my memories, thankfully."
Tyler sighed of relief. "Wait, what were they going to erase out of your mind?"
"That's not important Tyler. Just some...silly memories." he told me.
"Wait. When I got here, you said that you were about to forget all about me. Josh, they were gonna erase me out of your mind, weren't they?" I asked.
Josh looked sad. "Yes. But they didn't. I still remember you 100%." He gave me a quick kiss for reassurance.
I smiled. "Well, as long as you remember me then I guess it's okay." I sighed.
Josh ran his hand through my hair. "Come on Tyler, we have to find a way out of here."
"Yeah, we have to get out now." I said. Josh started heading to the door and I took another look at the memory eraser gun laying on the floor. I checked to see if Josh wasn't looking and I picked it up and stored it inside my orange prison suit.
I hope it would come in handy later.
Third-person POV
It's not fair. Nothing's ever been fair. Spooky Jim said as he gently tapped his drumsticks against the wall.
It's been so long. I've gone insane. Right? Maybe I just miss him so much. He sighed.
He started to cry. If Josh was here, I would take out all this anger on him. I'm just so tired of waiting and being alone. Josh is useless to me. I need my other half back. It's been so long.
He took off his red beanie and held it in his hand. He smiled weakly. You have one just like mine. I wear it everyday to remember you. I miss you. Where are you?
He flickered softly as red glowing tears rolled down his cheek.
Soon.
Hey everyone! This was sort of a filler chapter to be honest with you. The next chapter will be more action-filled I promise. (-: Please leave a vote and some comments if you'd like!
