EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED!

Chapter 9

Andrea and I walked up the cafeteria steps into the hallway. Okay, now let me show you the auditorium. Alright I said. We walked down the hallways until we finally made it outside 2 red doors with Willow Trees painted on them for the school's name and town name. Next to the doors read a sign that said Auditorium. Andrea opened one of the doors and I followed in behind her. There were trophy Cases with Musical Theatre Awards, Art Show Awards, Talent Shows, Spelling Bees, Debate teams, chess club. You get the point. The walls were painted black and gold for the school's mascot Panthers. So as you can see this is the auditorium Andrea said. Wow I said. Back in Chicago we only had a gym and we used the Cafeteria for assembly's. This is neat. Wow is right Andrea said. Hey what's up said a girl with medium length red hair with blonde streaks, black lipstick, a red and White Paramore T Shirt, black combat boots, and black jeans. Hi I said. I'm Skylar. I just moved here. Oh cool said the girl. I'm Vanessa. Andrea smiled at Vanessa. Yeah Skylar this is my best friend Vanessa. Nice to meet you I said. You too she said. So, were did you move from Vanessa asked while drinking her Coke can. Chicago. I moved because my dad is in the army and when he comes back home which I hope he does he'll be stationed in New Hampshire. Oh. Well you'll like it here. Andrea and I will help you get to know the school better. Sorry about your dad. Hopefully he'll come back safe and not injured. Thanks I said. Andrea looked at me funny. Skylar how come you didn't tell me? She asked. Sorry if you were upset I understand.  Sorry I said. I don't really like talking about that. I do get upset. But I also wasn't really thinking about that. Oh it's ok Andrea said. He'll come back just fine. Yeah I said half smiling. I sure hope so. I started tearing up. My dad is a fricking alcoholic. He just leaves every night when he thinks I'm asleep and goes to bars and clubs with his so called friends. He also smokes. I've seen cigarettes in the backyard. Vanessa said. Oh I'm sorry to hear that. Yeah Andrea said. I've seen him flip the hell out on Vanessa for no damn reason. Once I didn't clear the table off after dinner and then I told him I forgot and I was about to go do it and he just comes over to me and slaps me across my face and he's  cursing at me and telling me I'm useless piece of shit punk emo kid who'll never get a boyfriend. Wow I said. I'm really sorry. Thanks. Must've been the Jack Daniels talking Vanessa said to me and Andrea. Ha Andrea said. Probably. Yeah I said. Yeah well anyways I got to go get my books out of my locker. Vanessa said. I'll see you around. Yeah. I said. See you later. She left the auditorium with the rock n roll sign and Andrea did it back. I smiled and did it back to because why not. Well that's Vanessa for you Andrea said. I laughed. She looks like a fun person to hang out with. She sure is. We've been on so many adventures. She's a wild chick. Yeah I kind of  figured I said. Not because she's emo but because of all she's been through and her personality. Don't worry her clothes show off her wild side too. Don't be afraid to say it. She said. Okay I said laughing. Now let's get to your sewing class. Yeah we should get going it's 8:50. Yeah let's get going Andrea said. Last one there has to sew some buttons on my fall out boy jacket Andrea said. Oh I'm not doing that. I said. We started laughing and walked to sewing.
