I walked back to the house with Pepper. We walked back into the house. My mom was picking up one last box and walked out the door. When she came back in she said ''Well you better say your goodbyes hon, with her arm around me." Ok mom. I'll really miss you. I said out loud. I grew up with you. I started to shed a tear. I might never see my dad again and I have all these memories about him and I in this house. Bye. I blew a kiss and walked out of the house. My mom and I got into the car and drove off to the airport, the moving van following us. I glanced at our street and house one last time and blew a kiss. My mom sighed as I played with my fingers and stared at the floor. My mom poked me and said "Hey, it's ok. We'll get through this." I miss the house too Sky. I miss the house so much I said. I know you do sweetie. So do I. Hey said my mom. Why don't you turn on the radio to clear your mind a little bit. Great idea mom. I said. Thanks. Your welcome my mom said smiling. I turned Z100 on and the song On my Mind by Ellie Goulding came on and my Mom and I sang along. After listening to Demi Lovato, One Direction , Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift, we were at the airport. I started to get even more sad but then my mom rubbed her hand on my back. Relax sweetie. It'll be okay. She said. We put our luggage on the luggage machine and took a seat on the plane. My mom sat next to me. "Good Morning ladies and welcome to Green Lakes Airlines . I'm Shaniqua your flight attendant for today can I get you anything?" Hi good morning I said. Can I please have water and maybe a banana? Yes you can Shaniqua said. Thanks I said smiling. No problem said Shaniqua. Do you need anything Miss? She said to my mom. Yes please she said smiling. Can I have coffee and pancakes please? Yes you may. Thank you. Mom said smiling. Your welcome said Shaniqua. Yours should be out in a couple of minutes. She said to me. Ok thanks I said. No problem she said and walked away. Why didn't you get anything like pancakes or cereal to eat? Mom asked. I'm not that hungry. I said. Oh ok. My mom said frowning. She knew and I knew that it wasn't because I wasn't that hungry. It was because I missed home. I put my ear buds into my phone and hit the watch disney channel app. I hit an episode from Girls Meets World, put my fuzzy zebra blanket on and put on my neck pillow. We will be taking off in 3,2,1 said the pilot. I just sat there watching my show sadly. I really missed home.
