I woke up on George's bed; the covers up to my chin. 'Ah, what happened?' I rubbed my temples and sat up. "Hey dude, was the mattress not comfortable or something because you were in the living room." George walked in a set a glass of water next to me on the nightstand. "I don't know- I-" I was cut short when a fury friend jumped onto my lap. I flinched, surprised at the sudden action. George stood still, waiting for my reply. Petting the puppy softly, I mumbled, "yeah, sort of." George sighed and lifted the puppy from my grasp. "Well, breakfast is down stairs... not to mention, you're fat." George quickly closed the door and ran off laughing like a maniac. I held a hand up to my chest, but realized, 'Oh yeah, he had to carry me upstairs,' I chuckled to myself.
Once I got out of my sleep wear, I changed into my sweats and a loose tee. Ruffling my hair, I brushed through it with my fingers. I made my way down the stairs and into the dining room, where Mr. and Mrs. Onan sat and the Onan siblings were preparing breakfast. "Good morning Evan," Mr. Onan greeted. "Good morning sir," I replied, giving him an awkward smile. "Here ya go Evan! My famous chocolate pancakes," Kayla exclaimed, placing the plate onto the table. "Um, I don't want diabetes Kayla," I joked. "To bad," she sang and rushed over to the stove where the other pancakes were cooking. I sat down and cut through the fluffy pancake. The chocolate oozed out and steam rose from the flat yet puffy cake. I stabbed one of the smaller pieces and stuffed it into my mouth, the flavor melting into my mouth. It was moist and hot, the chocolate adding a hint of sweetness to it. I moaned and Kayla chuckled. "Ha, ha, told ya," she snickered.
"Kids, we gotta run, thanks for breakfast, love you guys!" Mr. and Mrs. Onan rushed out of the house. I was too interested in the pancake to even notice they left the table. "Sweet holy mother of Jesus hot daddy," I praised. "What the f*uck?" George asked before laughing. Kayla let out a small laugh before smirking over at me. "Lol," George spoke in text. He lifted the pancake into his mouth and muttered, "hot daddy indeed." Kayla in I broke out into laughter, tears brimming at the corner of our eyes. That morning, I forgot all about the strange light.

It was currently Sunday, we decided not to go to church and hang out instead. We agreed on going out to Denny's to have a casual talk with each other. "Can we invite Peyton?" I whined. "If we invite Peyton, I'm inviting Arden," Kayla stated. George rolled his eyes, but proceeded to pick them up. "Where are we going?" Arden asked from the back. "Denny's," Kayla replied.
Once we arrived, Arden and Kayla ran into the diner. Peyton, George, and I only sighed at the scene. I slung my arms over Peyton and we walked towards the booth that Kayla and Arden chose. "Ooh, y'all make a cute couple," Kayla teased. I scrunched up my face and Peyton laughed. A waitress walked over to our booth and placed some menus on the table. Kayla quickly grabbed one, flipping over to her favorite section: soups. "This looks so good~" Peyton moaned from beside me. "Yosh, I've got my order," I closed the menu book and peeked over at Peyton. "What are you getting?" After a short paused, Peyton said, "the Honey Jalapeño Bacon Sriracha Burger~"
"Oh, that sounds good. I'm getting the Crazy Spicy Skillet," I laughed evilly. "Hook me up!" Peyton exclaimed. We both laughed and waited for the waitress to come back.
A few moments after the waitress took our orders, the food came piling in. "Smells good~" All of us moaned and said a quick prayer. We all laughed and joked catching the attention of nearby customers. "Quiet down," George said. The bell dinged signaling someone had walked in. The person passed by our table and sat it the booth next to us. I got a whiff of her perfume and I was taken back. 'That smells good.' "Evan- Evan!" Arden waved her hands in front of my face, snapping me out of my trance. She held a spoon up to my face. "This is vegetable beef soup, try it," she slipped it into my mouth and forced me to chew it. "Tastes good~" I smiled. "Try mines Evan," Kayla scooped up her loaded baked potato soup and stuffed it into my mouth. I nodded my head and gave her a thumps up.
"Let me try some of yours Peyton," I leaned over to snatch the burger from the plate. I took a huge bite and moaned. "Mmm~ Here try mines." I stabbed the chicken piece and drenched it in the hot sauce. Quickly, I slipped it past Peyton's lips. "Good?" I asked. "Very," Peyton panted and grabbed the glass of water. "Gimme some more boo," Peyton stole my fork and scooped up a pile of my food. After fighting for my fork for ten minutes, Kayla and George suggested we go back home to put on a movie.
We divided the bill and made our way to George's car. Arden jumped onto my back and wrapped her arm around my neck, holding it into a choking position. "What the f- get off," I exclaimed. She slid down and poked my sides. I jerked back and held in my laugh. "Hehe," Arden smirked, "Kayla was right, you are ticklish here."
"Oh no, you are not touching me anymore missy, or I'll punch you," I threatened. Arden advanced onto me. "Peyton!" I ran over to Peyton for support. "Help me," I whined. "Get into the car, or I'm leaving you two," George groaned.

After dropping Peyton and Arden off, Kayla, George, and I made our way into the living room with our bags of popcorn. "What movies do y'all want to watch?" I shrugged in response. "No sappy love story movies," George stated. Kayla groaned and said, "we might as well watch Finding Dory then."
"Yeah," George agreed. He turned on Netflix and proceeded to find the movie. "Can I sleep over again? I brought extra clothes," I muttered, midway into the movie. "I don't know, ask your parents," Kayla replied. "Eh, I don't care, I'm staying over." The puppy, Jack (Kayla finally named him), strut into the living room, awoken from his nap. "Come here boy," I gushed. Mr. and Mrs. Onan walked into the living room. "Hey kids, go to sleep. Evan are you staying again?" Mrs. Onan asked. I nodded in response.

That night, George made me sleep on the couch since the mattress provided was not "comfortable" enough. I tossed and turned on the couch unable to sleep again. 'I never had any problems sleeping over here!' I groaned aloud and stared at the walls. Cars headlights danced across the room. I sat up on the couch and peeked out the window. Disappointed, I slipped back into the covers. Maybe the reason why I wanted to stay over was because I wanted to see her again.
