♕chapter eight♕

I awoke to Ares quickly explaining his plans and leaving.

I couldn't help the smile the traced my lips as I saw the breakfast. I quickly opened the note and sat up.

'Dear Amaria,
I am so sorry for the way I acted. I was stubborn and selfish. I have been looking for you for 4 years now. When you told me you knew I let me anger get in the way. I shouldn't have, I just need you. I know you need time and I will give it to you. I just need to know that you will accept me. My wolf and I won't sleep until we know. Amaria we feel strong about you. The way you smile, and laugh. The way your hair falls into crazy curls before you fix it. The way your eyes shine when you get excited. The way you dress, the way you act. We like it all. We don't won't you to hate yourself, we don't see how you could because to us you are perfect. I am so sorry for the way I acted.

The note had made butterflies in my stomach but god was I scared. I was still afraid he would reject me. I know he wouldn't but there is a voice in my head saying he will.

I stepped out of the warm shower, in to a fluffy black towel.

"God damn it" I cussed as I almost fell.

"Are you okay" I jumped at his voice and tightened the towel.

"I am fine, let me just change real quick" I muttered as I ran to my closet. I didn't want to see him so I took as long as possible to change.

I walk out to see him sitting in the chair across from my bed.

"Uh hi?"

"Mari, I'm so sorry. I was a complete asshole, I should not have yelled at you"

I wasn't surprised he was apologizing. "do not blame your self, I was being selfish.  You have been waiting for your second mate, and I kept it from you" I said disappointed in myself. I used to be selfless, and now look at me.

"Amaria stop, this my is my fault" I roll my eyes at him and chuckle.

"How about we just forget about it?" His smile lit up my world. That's something I would never get used to.

"I like that idea, so we can take this slow okay? I don't want to make you uncomfortable"

I smile at his sweetness. "I think that is a lovely idea"

"So Amaria, how about we get to know each other?"

"I think we should get food first though"

We walk down stairs looking for food.

"Favorite color?"

"Blue"

"Not pink?"

"Ew no" I giggled. "Favorite day?"

"The day I met you"

"Ewww that's cringey" I laugh as he pouts.

"Hey I was trying to be cute" I smile up at him.

"You already are" he smirked.

"Ewww that was cringey" I laugh as I hit his bicep. Which by the way was rock hard.

"Like how it feels?"

"Eh"

"Well that was just rude" I laugh and stick my tongue out.
