I leaned my head against the wall of our Institute, images of what had just occurred blazing through my mind. It took Peter snapping his fingers in front of my face to bring me back to my senses, "Alice? You still with us?" I nodded, and ran my fingers through my hair worriedly, "By the Angel, what have I done? Those shadowhunters could be in league with Valentine and I literally just gave them an invitation over here!" Peter quickly enclosed me in his embrace, smoothing out the rough edges of my pixie cut hair, "It's going to be fine Alice. They didn't seem like ones who were in league with Valentine. They were blatantly confused about the fact that we have powers that are similar to that of downworlders." I inhaled the scent of Peter's cologne, honey and lavender with a hint of mint. I swear, he's always known how to calm me down, especially after the year of torture by Valentine. I felt myself drifting off again, and this time Peter let me, picking me up bridal style and laid me down on the couch, "You should get some sleep. That battle took a toll on you." I smiled slightly before giving in and closing my eyes, sleep coming quickly to me.

Peter's P.O.V:

I smiled to myself as I watched Alice drift off to sleep. It was at times like these that I realized how much I truly cared for her, and how much she trusted me that she would willingly fall asleep and let her guard down in front of me. I too was drifting off into my own thoughts until I heard arguing beneath me in the training room, the voices belonging to Vivian and Sebastian. Great, I muttered to myself, This is going to be fun to get them out of. I quickly rushed down the stairs to the training room where I saw Vivian and Sebastian literally at each other's throats. "You couldn't stop staring at that redhead mundane! That's why Henry and Alice had to pick up the slack!" Vivian growled, her own red hair blazing with fury. Sebastian retorted back, "Well, I didn't see you doing anything to help the boy mundane!" Vivian rolled her eyes dramatically, "Because Hailey had it under control! Honestly Seb, you're blaming this on me?" Before Sebastian could respond again, I wedged myself in between them, placed a hand on each of their chests, and pushed them away from each other, "Will you both shut up?" Once Vivian and Sebastian seemed to settle down, I let out a sigh, "Both of you fighting over what already happened is not what we need right now. If anything, you should have a valid reason." Sebastian rolled his eyes as he turned around and started to tend to his seraph blades, "We had a valid reason Peter." I arched an eyebrow, seeing everyone else except Alice enter the room, "Which was?" Vivian sighed, "Look. Even though we only fought alongside those shadowhunters once, I felt connections between us and them begin to form." Hailey scoffed, "Connections? What kind of connections?" Henry nodded and seemed to read what Vivian's mind, "Like soulmates. Vivian noticed the connection between each of us and one of the shadowhunters and mundanes in the alleyway." Vivian shrugged, "Somewhere along those lines. But, I didn't feel a connection with me or Henry though. We must not have found them yet." Henry shrugged, "It's fine Vivian. We both still have our parabatai." I saw the red head nod to herself, only to then double over in pain clutching her head with both hands.

Hailey rushed over to her parabatai's side, "Viv!" Henry crouched down to Vivian's eye level and muttered, "Viv, what do you see?" Vivian gasped with pain as she stuttered out, "T-The redhead..." Sebastian's interest peaked, "What about her Viv?" Vivian shook wildly for a few more moments until she answered, "She's at the City of Bones. A-And Kai's with them." That's when I spun around and did a 360 look around the room, searching for Kai's face, "Did Kai come with us through the portal?" Sebastian shook his head, "I didn't feel him walk through it." I groaned, "Well then why didn't you tell me that?!?" Sebastian shrugged as Henry and Hailey got Vivian off the ground, "It wasn't pertinent information at the time." I rubbed my temples with my index fingers as I  paced around the room, "Well, where is he now?" Henry's eyes flickered from hazel to white for a moment and muttered under his breath, almost so that he didn't want me to hear, "He's in their Institute."
